Default 2010 F150 Platinum SCrew SB 4x4 Hitch weight Issues

I am trying to figure out what size travel trailer I can pull with my F150. It is the 2010 F150 Platinum SB 4x4 with 5.4l engine and 3.55 rear axle

I found specs on the web that shows the curb weight to be 5,313 lbs. The sticker on the door shows the GVWR 7,200 lbs.

I loaded everything up in my truck and went to have it weighed at the cat scale. Below is the cat scale results:

front axle 3900 lbs
rear axle 3300 lbs
Total weight 7200 lbs.

I do not see how that is possible below is a break down of what was in my truck:
gvwr includes full tank and 150 lb person: 7200 lb minus the weights below:
curb weight is suppose to be 5313 lb
person 1: 320 lb
person 2: 140 lb
person 3: 90 lb
tool box empty weight: 50 lb
bed Cover: 75 lb
equipment bag: 25 lb
2 five gal buckets with cargo: 10 lb
2 inch receivers qty 2: 50 lb
tools: 25 lb
Should be aprox remaining weight: 1092 lb

I should be able to have a hitch weight of 1092 lb.

Please help me understand what I'm missing because I do not understand why the cat scale weight equaled my GVWR.

It's your estimated curb weight that's wrong. It doesn't include all the options on your truck. As others (Krieghoff?) have found out here, Platinum's are heavy. And without the MaxTow option you only have 7200# GVWR and very little payload as a result.

Looks like your payload is less than 1000#.

EDIT: No door sticker listing payload? It assumes a full tank of gas, but not the driver or other people/gear.

Zero, nada, zip.

Your payload is taken up by the heavy 4x4 drivetrain, heavy CrewCab body, the fat guy in the cab, and the heavy options of all those nice things about the Platinum trim, such as 20" wheels and tires? Do you know how much those puppies weigh? So you don't have any payload capacity remaining to use for hitch weight.

curb weight is suppose to be 5313 lb
Your curb weight is whatever the CAT scale says the wet and loaded truck weighs without the trailer tied on. Your curb weight is 7,200.

I suspect no one can help you. Your gee-whiz fancy F-150 with Platinum trim is not optioned to haul a trailer along with your normal payload of tools, driver, and passengers.
