2004 SCab with only 1390 payload?
Today when I went to the dump and I had my truck weighed after unloading everything including myself. I was very surprised when I was told that my truck weighed 5810 pounds with NOTHING in it other then a full tank of gas. Therefore my truck only has 1390 of payload. I thought that it being an XLT and a SCab I would have around 1800 or 1900 pounds. Does anyone have any ideas if the scale was not correct or does the truck really weigh that much.

I do not have any tool boxes or anything in the bed, not even the factory drop in liner. The only items that are in the truck is a wooden box I made and a rode side tool kit, they weigh 40 pounds at the most. Also I have heard a lot of talk about a yellow payload sticker but I figured it was only for the latest gen of trucks because I do not have one. The only sticker in the door jam is grey and it gives the vin and other info about the truck but there is no payload info.
