13 FX4 5.0 w/24 ft camper weighing 5k loaded. I want to adjust my 10k equalizer a bit to get more weight distribution.

Question is, I have 4 washers in already but don't want to overdo by adding too many. Does anyone have any experience or know of a formula or something? I.E 1 washer will raise the rear 1/2 inch and transfer X pounds? Or a guess based on your experiences?

Normally I would guess and check but don't have the air tools to adjust on my own given high torque so probably going to have to pay to have it done.

Not in the manual. It does cover situations where you need more or less distribution but does not provide adjustment values.

Again would DIY but grade 8 bolts at 350 ft/lbs of torque are outside of my equipment capabilities.

Adding one washer is the same result as going up 1 hole on the L-brackets. If you are talking about an equal-I-zer brand hitch.

Add as many washers as you need so that you can center the "L" bracket on the seat on the camper. I just use a crescent wrench with a pipe on the end to tighten them down and havent had a problem. Had the hitch for 4-5 years on 3 campers. Let me know if you have more questions. I have setup this hitch on 2 vehicles and 3 campers.

I have 4 washers on the head rivet of my Equal-i-zer 10k hitch. My trailer is longer and heavier than yours, but has a 10% tongue weight. My hitch was set up for my previous truck, an '01 F250 4x4. I had to raise the ball height 1 hole and the "L" brackets 2 holes (approx. even with the lower side of the trailer tongue) to get the proper weight distribution. Did you measure the front wheel well height, according to the manual mentioned above? My combination lowered the front well height 1/4'' for each hole I moved the "L" brackets up and by shifting more weight to the front axle. I would try moving them up 1 hole and see if that does the trick. That way you don't have to mess with the head torque. My truck sits almost level (slightly higher in back) and trailer slightly lower in front when loaded. It towed well, with this configuration, on a 500 mile round trip this past week.
