Default 04 aftermarket controller mounting

Just wondering if anyone with an 04-08 has integrated an aftermarket brake controller into the dash somehow? I have a tekonsha P3 controller and a '04 lariat screw with centre console shifter, thanks!

Do like the lunkheads at U-Haul did mine and mount it on top of the dash. Those screws go in the plastic dash real easy.

Did you make them replace it mount the controller somewhere else.

Why not mount it down low between the console and the steering column? I used some heavy duty velcro to mount the brake controller in my Tundra. When I sold it, it all came out, and with a little WD40, I was able to get the velcro to release and clean off all the adhesive.

This is where mine is. Easy access when needed but out if the way. I used the mounting brackets that the unit came with and a couple of screws that were already there.

The factory connection is right behind there too!

It cost U-haul $1100.
My trailer dealer moved it under the dash for me at no cost.
Guess they felt sorry for me.
