Just get an ATV with a plow, saves the money you would put into the truck, then you also get an off road toy! haha

X2. I bought a Polaris sportsman and put a plow on it and the quad pushes plenty of snow

Yeah I mean with the amount of snow it sounds like he wants to push, a nice Polaris would be very capable. I mean a nice plow is a few thousand dollars, and to set it up on an f150 just do do a drive way and street seems like over kill. We use a quad for snow removal and it does a fantastic job. Besides, the trans on the F150 was just not made for the constant abuse a plow will put on it. But again, it's all what someone prefers. If you want to plow with your truck, plow with your truck, it has more than enough horse power and torque to push the white cold stuff.

See, I had just heard plowing with it was a bad idea. I am a Mustang guy and don't know much about trucks, obviously didn't worry too much about plowing with my car, lmao. I might go the ATV route. What do those little plows on them run?

Smaller used plow for the pickup is gonna cost you about the same or less than one for an atv/utv. Last used plow we had on a truck was a speedwing, sold it after we sold the truck it was on for about $2500 in pretty good condition. We replaced it with a plate for the skiddy and a nice used 9' blade we use of the skiddy for less than $500 all together. This is still a decent time of year to pick one up pretty cheap. If you don't need/have an atv I'd just put one on the truck. Your warm, and can move far more snow.

Incorrect. You are looking between 70 to 200 for a plow on an ATV. I highly recommend going the ATV route for just plowing a driveway/street corner. A nice 4x4 Polaris, or something along those lines, will pay for itself plowing, and then you have something to enjoy besides just plowing snow. Plows for trucks are expensive, and I highly recommend avoiding putting one on an F150, just for it's trans sake.
