Default Hydro-dipped interior trim part 1

I didn't like the gray/silver interior trim in my FX4. So I decided to have them hydro-dipped. I took the pieces off myself. I used this link to remove the pieces on either side of the radio.

http://www.coastaletech.com/F150installation.htm

To remove the piece under the airbag you just remove the two screws after you have moved the airbag out of the way as shown in the above link. In the following picture it shows the three screws you have to remove to remove the trim pieces on the right side of the radio.

For the piece to the left of the steering wheel you just have to pry it off after removing the trim around the instrument panel as shown in the above link. There is only 6 clips holding it in place.

Default Hydro-dipped interior trim part 2

After removing the pieces you have to detach the wires running to the different switches. With the exception of the 12V adapter, you just push the switches out of the trim piece. Same thing for the AC vents.

As for the 12V adapter you must depress the two silver flanges and the silver piece will come halfway out.

After the silver piece is halfway out, then you have to pry the two black flanges out a little to allow the silver piece to come out all the way. Then you can push the adapter out of the trim.

Now you have all the trim pieces off you take them to get hydro-dipped.

[QUOTE=zane269;2889783]Today was a bad day for me. I was stopped and received a citation from a Cobb County GA cop. He cited me for my smoked taillights and 3rd brake light, saying they are too dark to be seen at least 500 feet behind the vehicle. So home I went and soaked the taillights and 3rd brake light in acetone to remove the smoke. Unfortunately for me the taillights have a chrome bezel, so I ordered the following as replacements.

Ive never been stopped by ccpd for that. I had limo tint on my windows and blacked out tails darker then yours on my mustang. Guess its the red truck that got there attention. But awesome truck btw.
