I'm doing the 7700/Expedition brake swap right now. I was having an issue with the banjo bolt not threading into the caliper. This made me question if the Expi/7700 calipers have different Banjo bolts. My research tells me, they do not. All of them are 3/8'-24.

My theory is/was -Maybe the remanufacturer didn't make a clean cut when they reamed the threads? ....

Solution:

That was the problem. The banjo bolts fit but the threads on my A1 Cardone must either have a thin painted coating or they are just a super tight cut. I have threaded a spare banjo bolt carefully with a wrench and now it's much easier to start the thread.

My advice to anyone doing this is to either clean the threads up either by a Tap or by a spare bolt (

Steering Column started smoking today when I turned on my Blinker. My Google-Fu tells me it's a common issue and that the Turn signal switch is bad. Instead of ordering one through Ford which is hard to find actual part numbers that pertain to exact Models (Lariat) I'm going with a Borg Warner replacement from the local Advance Auto.

Lifetime warranty, $83 after tax and some discounts.
