maybe you could get some hub centric 1/4" spacers to move them out some, ya know like the ones that fit on without any cut lugs or anything.

I've seen some lightning guys running them before to fit wider tires or space the wheels out farther.

I don't know how good or safe they are to use though, just look around and ask around I guess.

Running those would scare the heck out of me. I just wouldn't know how much I could trust them. I have no idea what I'm going to do yet.

I'm about halfway done with the Electric Fan install. I can't wait till we buy a house in a couple months; not having a Garage is killing my motivation.

What I did today:

*Prep the fan for install using my old Radiator. (There's a lot more prep than I thought there was going to be. All easy, just more than a drop in.)
*Removed the clutch fan.

Since I ended up getting the fan for free, I may still get the Flexalite fan down the road.

Surprised you didn't hear or feel it. I could always feel and hear when the tires on my 1990 would rub, but they were hitting the radius arms, and leaving a mark you could see without getting under the truck.

Back with my truck was lower I could hear as I backed up and turned the ***** rubbing. That was a real specific sound. This looks like the smooth side is coming into contact with the smooth side of the frame.

For the Electric Fan Install I found out I need an adapter for the 3/8-18 coolant temp sensor that cam with the Painless F5 controller.

1/4" Male NPT x 3/8" Female NPT Brass Straight Adapter as suggested by #Blown Ford

https://www.fastenal.com/products/de...%22+Female+NPT

Fastenal Part No. (SKU): 69899

Fastenal was almost a bust this morning, since they didn't actually have the fitting I needed. I was able to order it in for tomorrow though so it'll still be quicker than waiting on an online order.

I spent time installing my fans today. It's colder than a witch's nipple so I didn't get much done.

The fans are in, controller is mounted (Although not very well) and I found a way to crack/break the fan shroud in another place.

This might be an awesome fan but the plastic is as brittle as they come. This makes 3 breaks or cracks in a brand new fan before it's even installed. ..I'm regretting the fans again and I haven't even finished installing them.

I'll probably leave them till I start the new engine build and replace them with a Flexalite unit

If you ever get back to the hood vent, be sure and post lots of pics. I'm really interested in how that works out and what it looks like.

I know how it goes with having multiple projects and how to juggle them. I'm working on my center console/GPS, Race Radio mount, adding a second battery, building a custom front bumper, figuring out a mounting place for a CB radio, gear and differential change, Expedition brake upgrade and then all the peripherals for each of those like wiring, welding and painting. My man cave is stacked full of parts and little bits of all those projects. At least it's staying light out later and it's gotten pretty warm here the last week or so, making working outside after work easier.
