2004 FX4 Adventure Build
The goal of my build is to provide a safe, comfortable platform for adventure/expedition travel (hopefully more off road than on) for my family and I. I have been into 4x4 vehicles for the last 15 years, recently I just "retired" my 2005 Jeep Liberty Diesel (great vehicle but too small for a family). I purchased this truck from a Service Member in Hawaii with 98K miles, decent condition with a few aftermarket modifications.
Specs:
2004 F150 FX4 5.4L, Silver SuperCrew Cab, 5.5ft Bed, 285/65r18 BFG KO2, Magnaflow 18" Muffler, SCT with 5Star Tune, GOTTS Mod
Picture as it sits November 2015:
Build Plans:
Engine/Performance:
SCT with 5Star Tune 87 octane (Purchased March 2015)
GOTTS Mod/Motorcraft filter (Purchased September 2015)
Drivetrain:
4.88 Gears with DTT F/R
Interior:
Aftermarket navigation (currently JVC, wanting better NAV)
Power-inverter (appx 500W)
Redline matching leather steering wheel cover
Stock sub
Exterior:
LED fog/driving fights on bumper only
Retractable tonneau cover (Fullmetal Jack Rabbit?)
Above bed rack (for spare tire/recovery gear)
Bushwacker with cut fenders for tire clearance
Suspension:
Icon Stage 2 (currently is a 2.5" level spacer)
Deaver/National Rear Springs
Tires/Wheels:
285/65r18 BFG KO2s (Purchased November 2015)
37x12.5r17 BFG KO2s
17x9 Granite Alloy GV8 Wheels
*Undecided about spare, wanting matching 5th tire/wheel*
Body Armor/Recovery:
Exp-One Bumper
10,000 lb winch
RCI transmission skid
Rocker protection *Undecided on type, likely custom*

I purchased the tires from 4wheel parts (BAD experience) before I shipped the truck from Hawaii. Selection and price made buying tires in Hawaii an experience I never want to do again. These will hold me over for a few thousand miles I hope!

The Expedition One Bumper is a newer item, I am looking to have it delivered late January 2016. The design is very close to the ARB bumper I have had in the past, function AND form!
**Above is NOT my truck**
