White 2011 Fx4 Build
Hey Yall,
Figured I'd start a build thread to get some input on things to do/how to do it. It's going to be a slower build for me considering it's my first. But any input would be great! Most people don't believe me because I'm 21 years old. But this truck was paid, every dime, by me. noone else. That's right. Mommy and Daddy didn't buy me this truck. My own hard work and dedication did!
A little back story:
When I turned 16 my first vehicle was a 1995 F-150 Single cab Eddie Bauer Edition. It was a manual and a trooper! I put that truck through hell and back and it still ran strong. Long story short, when I deployed with the Army to Afghanistan I came back knowing I had to have another Ford. (newer then a 1995 of course) So I bought a 2005 F150 Lariat. I LOVED that truck. About a year later some decided to speed around a 25mph turn at 65mph. lost control, came into my lane and hit me head on. luckily Since my truck was lifted my girlfriend and I came out with Minor injuries, while the passenger in the other car had to get airlifted. check out the picture.
Insurance Totaled out my Truck for Frame Damage. So I searched around and found my new baby for a great price with only 33k miles on it. And the Build Started all over again.
The Morning (130am) The truck was dropped off
First came 8000k Iceberg Blue bulbs (off my last truck)
'Merica (my buddies GTI)
Next came All LED Interior/Cargo/license plate Lighting
Christmas Day I was pulled over doing 78mph on the interstate..Why?? Because I looked at the Highway Patrolman wrong. No joke. No ticket though!
Then I left for Germany with the Army again for a month long mission. BUT..Before I left I made sure the App. was set for the truck to get a make over. I only owned the truck for about a month at this point While I was in Germany the mechanics at the shop kept me updated with pictures through email (Can't Thank them enough) Here are the pictures I received.
I added a 6" BDS Suspension lift with Fox 2.0 shocks, 20" Fuel Rampage wheels wrapped in 35" toyo AT2's. I couldn't have asked for it to turn out any better!
When I got home I fell in love all over again.
I would keep ordering things right now if I could, but I need to refill my bank account first. I do have future plans for the truck Like Amp Power Research steps, LED Puddle lights, All JL Audio Sound System, ETC... Any Comments on the build or Ideas what to do would be great!
Thanks!
More pics Next comment because apparently I used too many -_-

They were my second choice too lol. I was looking at the fuel Kranks. But the dealership had these sitting out by the aftermarket section and it sold me haha. I figured I'd spend the little extra since I'm not going to be buying wheels again for a long time lol

Maybe to many trucks?
Really like your truck. I might end up doing something similar to our 10 F150 Lariat. I especially love the FX4 grille. I just don't think I can do the painted bumper thing again (truck we traded in had painted bumpers). I know I still love the whole white and black thing. LOL

Added a DeeZee Tailgate assist. Before and after video (click picture)
Blacked out the mirror markers with taillight spray tint in case I want to add LED blinkers behind them sometime in the future.
Also did the LED puddle light Mod. didn't take long. looks 10x better. Sliced open my thumb doing it so my bit of advice is to use a vice grip while sawing them open if you do the mod.
over all truck is starting to come together!
