That's awesome man. I love how diesels sound but I would love for mine to sound like a hot rod. No way I could get away without running cats here. Honestly if I could just have my truck sound like my Harley I'd be happy. But sure as anything I'd get pulled over for that. I plan on putting performance headers on mine and maybe a turbo but that's after I do everything to the outside of the truck. I've just got a 302 in mine but would love a 351. I might just take the time to build up the 302 though. Is yours a 5 speed?

Nope it is a C6 auto. My dad has a 5 speed and one day I may convert to 5 speed but I doubt it. I was going to build up my 302 but then I felt the power of my dad's 351W so I am just going to convert. I love how diesels sound but only on diesels.
I want mine to sound like my Harley to which it will with those thrush packs. LOL. I love Harleys more then trucks. What kinda Harley you got? I got a 73 XLCH completely customized and my dad has a 07 FLSTC completely customized.

Nice. It'd be some work to convert it. Probably not worth it but there's nothin like drivin a stick. And I've got an 08 nightster 1200cc. Also completely customized. Haha again I like dark stuff, the only chrome on it is the spokes and pipes. But the best thing on it though are the Vance and Hines short shots exhaust pipes. Sounds damn good

Ya it would be that's why I will probably stay with the C6. I may just get a 460 stick shift later on or something.
Nice bike the nightster is I almost got one but just couldn't fit it into my style. My bike is bored from a 1000CC to a 1200cc. The only chrome on my bike is the springer front end (not original), some stuff on the tank, wheels and front brake, turn signal parts, and the pipes. The rest is either black or a machined look. I just have stock pipes on my bike which I like the old pipes on it were to loud would get me pulled over for sure. They made my dad's bike sound like a little tweety bird and his is loud (mine were shorty drag pipes literally on 12 inches long from end to end with no baffels. LOL)
Now my dad's bike has true dual Vance and Hines no baffels (I hate baffels) and it sounds awesome but it is much louder then I could get out of my truck unless I straight piped it which I definatly don't want to do.

Haha yea I ran straight pipes for a while but it wouldn't pass inspection like that and I didn't like how it would pop if I was cruising down a hill in a low gear. And just an update on progress, both muffler and tips are ordered. Muffler should be here Wednesday and tips are on backorder but should ship the 15th.

This got here a day early! And yea man the tips are polished stainless. I would rather them be black but I'd have to sand the hell out of them and really rough them up to get paint to stay. I bet once they're on the truck I'll like the polished look though

Got these yesterday! They got delivered wayy before schedule. Hats off to Summit Racing for getting them here so fast. Wasnt sure how I'd like the polished stainless look instead of black but I actually love them. I know alot of y'all won't like them, but they're exactly the style I wanted. And they're stainless steel so I don't have to worry about them rusting up.
