Hey guys, figured I would make a build thread for the newest project on my truck since it will get lost in the bs thread or show em off thread. Anyways I'll be building a fully insulated cooler with drain plug to permanently go in there, I have some flush mount led pods for the outside of the box, there will be a USB outlet and a 12 volt outlet in there, lights that come on when the lid is opened, and a propane grill. The flush mounts will be here tommorow so I'll update when I get those in and hopefully I will have the cooler done this time next week

Got the flush mounts in today. I'm also thinking about adding a sound system in there. I have an extra deep cell boat battery so I'm thinking about adding in that and powering the sound system off of that battery so I don't have to worry about the truck battery dieing. I could get another radio and some marine grade speakers relatively cheap. Also I may not do the grill cause I don't know the laws on having a propane cylinder mounted to your truck, also it would take up a lot of space

Looks like a lot of fun. I was thinking of something fun like this when I put my tonneau back on. I like the idea of the truck bed tents ive seen out there too.

Srsly tho. Grill with charcoal.

We have one of those side by side grills that does both lol. I could always do a charcoal grill in there that would be cool lol. I'm gonna have almost no space for tools after this but oh well lol I don't keep much in there. Truck bed tents are cool too. Im waiting on a few electrical plugs to come in and then I'll get everything wired up. I'll probably grab some sheet metal on Monday and start the cooler too.

Just finished up the cooler box and the divider, well for the most part lol. I still have to make the bottom of the box and the lid. It's all made out of 26 gauge galvanized

Thanks lol the cooler box is 15x15 and will have an inch and a quarter of insulation on each side.

Nice.. I want to make like a grill that sits in the hitch so I can take it to school and start selling hotdogs and hamburgers at lunch hour lol.. I'd make bank

Lol I'm planning on making a grill to go in there. Just not sure what type yet lol
