Thanks! Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been ordering additional components and am going out of town for a few days. Once I get back, I plan to really focus on my retrofit and get it done. Just ordered the last item on my list...ColorMorph halos for heads and fogs.

With a little modification, these will hopefully be going into my turn signal buckets.

Edit: added a pic of all four shrouds together.

Just finished stripping the chrome from the housings. I left the chrome for the turn signals untouched for the most part. Thanks for the tip FFBoomer519!

Awesome. What's the full plan for the build?

The plan is to retrofit with a mini d2s with Apollo 3 shrouds with 100mm white XB-led halos and install dummy projectors over the turn signal buckets with modified G37-R shrouds. Lastly I plan to install ColorMorph halos in the heads and fogs to complete it. The color scheme is going to be black with silver accents.

I'm looking to paint my housings satin black and had a few questions I was wondering if you could help me with. Did you strip all the chrome off to paint the housings instead of just painting over the chrome? Also how do you use the over cleaner to strip off the chrome just put it on a towel and rub? Last did you take off the turn signal bucket while you stripped the chrome?

Sorry for the delayed reply! We're out of town and I just checked this. I haven't prepped mine for paint yet. I plan on doing that when I get back in town. In regards to stripping the chrome, all you do is spray the oven cleaner on and let it sit for a minute. Then, spray it with a water hose. It's that simple. You can always spray it again if all of the chrome doesn't come off on the first attempt. In regards to the turn signal buckets, I taped them off to protect the chrome however, you have to be careful because they will fill up with water when you spray them off and that could potentially cause some cleaner to leak down through the tape and cause some of the chrome to come off. That happened to mine but I'm not worried about it since I'm going to be installing dummy projectors over them.

Small progress...reflector bowls are off. Going to be fitting the projectors and halos this week hopefully.
