Originally was purchasing this truck only if we could get it started as it would not start when i made my buddy this offer. replaced starter completed yesterday and she started right up. here are some outside pics, i will get some interior ones this afternoon.

some info im looking for.

1. i want to replace all fluids in truck. what brand/blends (coolant, oil, brake fluid, trans, etc..) do you specifically recommend and for what? i know with my German cars i use very specific ones for certain things.

2. what do you recommend to clean the cloth seat material? i want to clean mine then i will work on either replacing the seat or putting on nice seat covers.

3. what do you recommend to clean steering wheel and dash material. this interior has never been cleaned before and needs something strong.

4. anything else you recommend doing for new purchased truck?

5. i dont think i like the front lower bumper, i would prefer the round fogs. i found this online and seems like it would fit but says 2005+

will that work and would the fog light hookups be the same?

For carpet and cloth cleaning I have read a lot of people on here swearing by spot shot. I haven't tried it myself but I think I might pick some up this weekend. Also when you replace all of your fluids I wouldn't forget about the front and rear diffs.

As far as brands of fluids I havent had my f150 long enough to change the fluids but I would say Motorcraft would be a good bet for engine oil and I have always used prestone for coolant.

Someone may correct me if I am wrong but I am almost certain that the bumper you are looking at getting will fit your 04. There is a good chance the listing starts at 05 because in 04 they were producing both generations of f150 (new style and classic).

You got a great deal in that truck. Spot shot is the best stuff ever made to clean materialor carpet. And that bumper should fit but you will also need to get the round fog lights.

Haha. Actually I was reading through your build log yesterday and that where I stumbled upon spot shot. (Love your custom bumper btw)

For cleaning the dash I would suggest warm water with some dish soap. I tied it out yesterday and it worked pretty well. I would not suggest using armor all on anything but leather seats. I made the mistake of putting it on plastic pieces a few times and all it does is leave it greasy. No good for door handles and steering wheels haha.

Junkyards, Pull-A-Part and the like are good places to look for a new seat pretty cheap. I have a friend who bought some for his pickup that some guy died in lol. He scrubbed a few blood spots out and looks like new. Not so sure that is something I would do but it doesnt seem to bother him. Just an idea though, you might find a deal on some dead guy seats!

iPhone doesn't show much different but whole truck been clay barred. A actually wasn't to bad but ton of paint chips. Rear photos have Meguiar's white wax currently on drying up. Also removed bug reflector off hood.
