Nice, you can get patch panels to fix the holes from LMC. You just have to weld them in there.

Couldn't I just weld some sheet metal behind the holes?

You could but this turns out better with patch panels... They're exact copies of the factory metal so once you lay em in you just gotta blend it

Anything but bedliner on the whole thing lol do red and bedline the lower body line. It'll be less filler work to zap in some panels. You can still do it pretty nice on a budget.

Why not bed liner the whole thing? I think this looks great

I just don't like it on the whole thing, it's ok on rockers, but the texture all over just doesn't do much for me.

I'm hoping the texture will hide my not so good painting skills and my likely to be crapy bondo work on the holed.

It's not quite as forgiving as you'd think, we bedlined a 3500 at school and any spot very deep or tall was visible even under the rhino liner which is thinker than the Herculiner. If you take your time on prep and repair you can get a pretty nice product out of it. I personally like the shiny, like this beast...

That truck does look great!!! But there's no way I'm going to get a paint job on an $1100 truck haha. Maybe once I'm positive it's gonna last I'll worry about making it look that good. I just think bed liner would look better than a DIY rattle can paint job and much better than how it looks now haha.
