Tripod's TriCoat Platinum
Hello and welcome to the beginning of my Platinum build thread! Keep in mind this may get slow at times because of working away from home, but I hope I can still keep it interesting.
I've just recently became the owner of a 2011 Ford F-150 Platinum 4x4 TriCoat White. Amazing truck so far and I can't wait to make it truly mine.
I have always owned Fords (except for a lemon of a "Chevrolet", I put the quotations because it was an Epica. Which is simply a rebadged Daewoo/ Suzuki.) I started out with a 2000 Ford Ranger, then went to the Epica, then got myself into a 2004 Ford Focus ZX5. Lastly, out of impulse I purchased another Ranger as a project. I drove the Focus from Nova Scotia to Alberta and it has been an amazing car, but it's days are numbered and it was time for me to get myself a real truck. I searched for quite awhile, but finally I found the perfect vehicle for me. Once I was on my days off I went to pick it up and now she's mine. I don't have a name for "she" yet, but if anyone has any ideas let me hear them!
Now I'll get to my plans as well as some pictures, because I know everyone here loves pictures.

The Build Begins!
One of the first things I did was the famous "USB2 Mod". Everything went smoothly and I now have a 32GB Gorilla Drive stashed away in the glove box. I simply looked at the many How-To threads located on this forum for complete instructions.
Note the source as USB2
Next was the WeatherTech floor mats. I called up a local shop and was expecting a 7+ day wait, but they were able to get them the same day!
Install was also a breeze, just a little weary of cutting out the spot for the subwoofer, but things went fine.
The front two are held on with little velcro securing points and the back just sits into place. I'm sure the back will form a little better to the floor once some heat gets to it.

Haven't done much to the truck since I've been working, but I did get a chance to give her a generous wash!
And I also just put an order in for the Du-Ha rear storage bin. I know a lot of other members choose to build their own, but I simply don't have the tools currently and not enough time to fab one up myself. So I opted to get something that would hopefully look somewhat factory. Can't wait to get everything organized!

UPDATE:
Well I was driving the truck back to the hotel for the night and glanced at the windshield and saw a crack and thought nothing of it. Since our work truck has a crack across the windshield it didn't faze me, but then I realized what truck I was driving and thought %#$*&. So when I bought the truck it has recently had a rock chip fixed, but I assume because of all the recent cold weather the glass just gave way and cracked. Gonna contact the company that replaced and also repaired the windshield and see what they say. I'll post a picture in the morning.
