Find a guy on here named mechanicboy - shoot him a PM. I believe he runs the fastest blown 5.0 on the forum.
Nice looking truck - good luck with it!

Honestly I have thought about picking up a 2015 stang when they are released. Be a fun weekend toy, but I have other priorities right now and can't justify the money for a garage queen. Also I have been an import guy pretty much all my life and just enjoy quick cheap street cars. My friends joke that they just can't picture me in a Ford.
Good looking Toy you had! I'm sure you will be pleased with the F-150 too. The 5.0 has a lot of potential what with all of the Mustang parts that can be pretty easily swapped over.
There are a few companies on here offering good E-85 tunes from what I have read, and they are always around to help out on the forum. Just ask some of these fellows what they are doing in this thread.... https://www.f150forum.com/f70/5-0-qu...s-mods-190134/
Are you completely sold on the future turbos? I have read about some pretty impressive supercharger installs. Almost plug and play kits that come with tunes. Roush, Edelbrock, Procharger...etc, swap out the pulley and I think some of them will get you into the mid 500hp ranges. Although I hear the oil pump needs to be upgraded when you get that high. For some reason the F-150 Coyotes didn't get the same oil pumps as the Mustang Coyotes.

Anyways, best of luck, seeing what you did with a toy I'm sure it will be fun to watch you work with the F-150!

The Roush kit will run about $7-8k installed with warranty. I am confident I can build a rear turbo setup for 1/3-1/2 the price that can be easily installed and also removed, with no trace that it was ever on the truck. I know the TVS blowers are efficient, my Tundra had a TVS1900, but a turbo has zero parasitic loss and should be able to make more power at lower boost if sized correctly. Also I know mine would get heat soaked pretty quick down here in the South during the extreme heat months. The turbo fueled with e85 should keep things a bit cooler.
I had an idea to supercharge my SCCA Civic and people said it wouldn't work, blah blah blah. $500 later and some redneck engineering I had an extra 100whp and a pretty fun unique/quick grocery getter. The only reason I did it was to prove it could be done. Never quite got it dialed in 100% and traction was a **** being FWD.
ZX12 He said it was a work truck.... Not sure how much hes going to be getting done with a "stang" at his job. And im not trying to call you out I just laugh when I see others go into someones thread on here and try to question why they want to make their truck fast. Its their truck, if they want to make it fast thats their choice. I personally think trucks are way more comfortable and I'm able to haul my dirtbike and motorcycle around along with other crap. Also its way more fun to pull up to a non heavily modded "stang" or other sports cars and surprise them at the track. Just my two cents and Hula I freaking love your Tundra, I have a buddy that has an extended cab and I keep trying to get him to put a blower on it, maybe after I show him yours he will finally pull the trigger, and as for your F150 welcome to the club and looking forward to seeing how your truck turns out!
I know I haven't been here long, but your truck hands down is the best RCSB I have seen. Love the stance/look. I would love to drop this one, but I am enjoying the stock comfy ride for now and I really don't want to put a bunch of money into it. If the 2015's RCSB are 4-500lbs lighter I will be picking one up in a couple years. Performance and MPG should be greatly improved if that is the case. Hell I am getting 18MPG in town right now. My three other Tundras I have owned barley got that on the hwy.
A Tundra with a blower is pretty stout and a fun ride, but can be pricey. I got a hell of a deal on my blower/install and loved the truck, just had poor service from my local dealer.
Kinda, they are pretty rare, especially one with a bench seat. I had two double cab 5.7s before which ran pretty good, and when I saw this RCSB online, I had to have it.
Why buy a stang when you can buy a ZX12. You have to throw a lot of mods at a stang to keep up with a ZX12. Is this what you tell the stang boys REPEATEDLY on their forums. It equates to the same thing. Why buy a heavier vehicle when it takes more to make it go faster that a lighter vehicle, right.
Everyone doesn't buy a truck to tow all the time. Over the years I have owned many different sportbikes. I bought the very first factory aluminum framed GSXR 1100 in Memphis back in the day. I bought my wife a few fast cars, a Grand National being one of them. In all that time one thing always remained constant. I have always owned a fast truck. I kept each of them at least 10 years. The list is: Lil Red Express, Shelby Dakota, Lightning and 5.0 STX (new project).
Either you get it or you don't. I fit in the truck much better than I fit on some of the sportbikes I owned. Because of my height and size I looked like a monkey F'in a football on some of the bikes.
P.S. You're going to have to tell those NASCAR Truck Series boys to stop it. There is no hitch on the back and where is the trailer.

I'm not sure about it but from what I've read in these forums is the battery unplug dies not clear the tune and will void warranty depending on the dealership and how sticky they choose to be, my understanding is the computer holds the last 10 tunes?? I could be wrong but something you def would want to find out
I ran 14.2@98 stock, traction limited and 13.7@100 on heavy 22's with catback and a custom 4" intake I made that leaned the overly rich stock AFR by one full point.

A little more than a decade ago I helped a coworker put a Jackson Racing supercharger on his Civic in my garage. It really woke it up and gave it some dow low grunt so it didn't feel so high strung.
I believe a stock Tundra is pretty fast. It has the same four valve overhead cam technology as the Ford 5.0 with 48 more cubic inches of displacement.

Welcome to the Ford side!
Not sure about the whole tune thing...every tune I've heard of is traceable in the Ford computers since 2011, the F-150s, Mustangs and heck, even the diesel trucks. I would think ID 1000s would be good for your application.

It's not half the cost but still very tempting. The new bypass valve has all but ELIMINATED parasitic loss. Not sure about how much boost the turbos are getting, but some of the TVS setups get over 100 hp/tq with only 5-7 lbs. That is pretty tough to beat.

Thanks again guys. I don't remember exactly what they gave me, but after all was said and done TTL everything. I walked out the door with no money out of my pocket. $16909 for the truck and I got $1000 coming back in the mail from my unused worthless Toyota extended warranty. So $15909 basically the way I see it. I want to keep the suspension stock for now while clearing/building on our land, but looking at that thread really makes me want to drop it. Some very clean looking trucks. Maybe later, but then again I am trying to not put too much into this truck as I would rather have a lighter 2015+ RCSB 4x4 in the next two years. I really wanted a 4x4, but this truck was such a steal IMO and I had the opportunity to unload the Toyota. Got some goodies arriving today. InTune, K&N CAI and lakewood traction bars. Still trying to burn this 87oct. Damn you Ford and your excellent MPG!
