i've seen a few people wet sand it with 5-600 grit... and others have done 0 prep... just laid down the lights and sprayed 3-4 coats on and then clearcoated it... what is your preference?

From what I've seen on other truck's around here, when you wet sand, tint, clear, and polish it looks 50x better than just spraying it on with clear. The latter tends to look flat and not glossy

i have tail light covers on there now too, so I am unsure if i should sell them, or paint them another color..because i doubt you'll be able to see the black over the tint, and it really servers no purpose anyhow..

I feel your pain on the LED strips. I ordered some a while back and it took a long time to get here.

For tinting its best to wet sand, wipe down, tint, clear, wet sand (like 1500-2000 grit) and buff. I use meguires ultimate compound.

much appreciated kidd...don't think it could've got any better... now i just need to make a trip to the store... and try it out... Do you think if i put LED's in my revers lights they will still be visible through three coats...or would i be better off taping the reverse section off?
