Default Smasher!'s 2011 FX4 Build

Decided I want to start logging my build here.. It won't be too quick, as I am taking my time on this truck and getting everything I want and done at the right time. Its currently winter, so not much is happening as I live in Canada and its cold here! I have been browsing for a while now, and I see lots of small stuff I want to do to it..I need the snow to melt!

I came from this..2004 Ford Ranger. 3" Lift, dual magnaflow exhaust, 31" BFG's, Ultrawheels rims, bushguard, strobes, hellas, Ford logo LED rings, custom centre console, custom back rack, custom interior..lots and lots of work done. It was my first truck, and I sold it for my new beast.
From this...

(It had a Kenwood Double Din init, but this pic is before that)

Plans for the F150 are basic for the first year..
-Dual Magnaflow Exhaust, rear exit
-Front Windows Tinted(Completed!)
-A Set of Dually Spots behind the girll, and a set of floods in the font bumper
-Infinity 6x8s in all the doors, with my Kenwood double din unit.
-12" Slim Pioneer(or infinity, not sure yet) sub in a custom built box(with storage)
-LEDs to replace the stock halogen lights wherever I can
-LED Tail light bar
-Backrack
-MAYBE towing mirrors if I can get a good deal.

Next spring(I know this isn't even spring here yet!!) I am doing my level(probably just 2"?) and tires and rims, and maybe a tonneau cover for the winter.

2011 FX4 with only 60,000KM on it, 5.0L and a 14-Month Factory warranty still left on it. Firestone A/T's and the fancy dash inside that tells me My angles offroading, and fuel mileage and all that(The main reason I bought the truck was that screen lol). I love this truck! Been climbing winter hills and no snow has stopped me yet..can't wait for the mud season!!!

I apologize some of these pics were taken with a potato. Haven't gone out to do a photo shoot with it yet.

Thanks for looking, I'll update it as I go..

Got my sound system in..

Doors: Kicker 6.5" KS
Sub: Kicker 10" CVT
Amp: Kicker CX300.1
Box: BBox pre-built for F150 Supercrew
Headunit: Kenwood DDX371

All in all..it worked out perfectly. Can't get my steering wheel controls to work(Axxess ASWC-1 Module), going to see if my buddy can help me out who works int he car audio industry! Had to paint my mount kit, as I forgot to order a High gloss to with the finish of the truck.

Mounted the amp behind the seats, directly to the seat bolts using some Simpson Strong ties from Home Depot! Found it on here, so I can't take the credit. There is foam on the back of the MDF speaker mounts, on the back of the speaker, and on the front of the speaker to help with sound. At full blast, no rattle in or out of the truck. Sounds awesome.

Long time no update..ha.

Got my Smittybilt light bar in, and put on some Hellas..

Then I needed a switch panel. After a long time searching and reading lots of threads, I FINALLY came across an idea I liked..thanks u/Italianbuca for the great write up and idea. I used your idea and made my own of it!
I used 1/4" think plexi-glass, big toggle switches, a digital volt meter I got off Amazon for 14$ shipped and some Carbon Fiber sticky stuff.

continued in next post..

I know its not 100% perfect..but its damn near close enough! Don't have it in the truck yet, as its quite cold out, raining, and dark(Canada..eh) so it will be in tomorrow and hooked up!

Installed some stake pocket tie downs! Got them in the states at harbour freight(all 4 for 20$). Super easy to do, I'd say all 4 took me half an hour.

Used a dremel with a cutting bit to cut out the stake holes, then used paint sticks to reinforce the bed caps when I tighten it down. Super easy.

Another project started and almost completed this weekend.. Built a box to match my sub box for under my rear seats! Built it out of plywood I already had, chose to paint the inside since it will be full of stuff anyways(booster cables, recovery straps and tools etc) and I'll carpet the outside for when the seats are down it matches..
Cost: 16$ for a roll of carpet(3'x6') at Canadian Tire, 7$ for spray adhesive.

Letting it set over night and will wrap it tomorrow with the carpet!

Next project will have to be LED bed lighting.. Small projects for now until my birthday and Christmas pass.. Then lift, rims/tires and exhaust for sure.

Crappy night time pics but it's done and looks great! Cleans up the back of the truck and holds more than I thought it would lol.

Made my custom raptor grill lights! Still have to clean up the wiring under the hood as I ran out of day light and the plastic wire wrap.
Cost: 35$

Spacers/adapters tend to make rubbing worse. They should fit with the level with a little room between tire and UCA. 295 60 20 is your safest bet

Spacers would reduce rubbing on UCA though, or am i wrong? Spacers make it rub the bumper more i think. Not sure about the suspension components.

Correct. Wheel spacers get your tire further from the UCA. And if the tire has a large diameter it can be more prone to rubbing the fenders when turning

I have a set of 2011 Ford Lariat Limited 22" Wheels with approximately 11k miles on them. If you or someone you know is interested in purchasing them please feel free to email me adamwcrubin@gmail.com. I also have the spacer kit that I will throw in to the deal at no charge.

Have a nice evening,

After reading over a 100 pages on this thread and reading the chart, I still can't figure it out..

2011 f150 fx4
Stock 18" rims
About to install a 2" autospring level.
Can I fit 35x12.5x18 and clear the upper USA?? . I was going for a Toyo Open Country At2 extreme in a 295/70/18, but a local tire shop has the new bfgs in stock in a 35/12.5 but I'm worried about clearing my UCA, and he's willing to cut me a deal because he's been sitting on them for a while(special order an the guy never came back)
