I'm having issues with my hardwire of the radar detector.. I have it hooked up correctly(tapped into the 12v and ground on the mirror) but after a few seconds my radar seems to go crazy and acts like it's not getting enough juice..also it has a battery display on the radar and it drops volts as soon as I start the truck..any help would be appreciated.

I used the actual hardwire kit from my radar detector. So i do t think ill be much help.

^^^ I do too. I wasnt a fan of those inserts. Good looking truck. I am a HUGE fan of "less is more"

Yeah im gonna get them powder coated black this summer. We had a few days of -45 to -50 and i couldnt keep any heat in the truck without using them. But they will be going back in this winter for sure.
