added some leds

inside

outside

i tapped into the cargo light wires for the bed lights.

need some light in the console. added a 12 volt plug also.

and the glove box. pressure switch for on and off.

reverse lights on these trucks suck so i added some extra light. also work as f*** you a****** lights. oh the thing in the hitch is my backup sensors. i didnt have the factory ones so i added the step that have the sensors in it. i hide the speaker on the back of the glove box.

i dont like having switches everywhere but this spot seemed nice and out of sight most of the time. still easy to reach. left side is master off for the 20" light bar. right side is for the backup lights.

i didnt really like the jumpseat so i took that out and added the center console. got lucky at $150.

by far the best mod yet for long trips. all the wiring is ran through the seats so the kids kicking feet doesnt touch them.

got the bed extender off a guy on kijiji for $100. comes in handy alot.

i didnt really like the gps on the dash or windshield and i dont like hanging wires so the gps had to be hide. hardwired in and a switch added so it didnt come on everytime i started the truck.

also hardwired and hardmount the radar detector to the rear view mirror.

you can never have enough storage so i added a release for the back seat and now i have a little bit more storage.

other mods done are the locking tailgate, deezee easy down strut, black and chrome trailer tow mirrors, usb2 mod, xtr black and chrome door handles, wheel liners, plug and play remote start, oem trailer brake (as mine never came with it), truxedo lopro qt tonneau cover, door chime delete, hids, side steps, winter front, mud flaps, tint, trailer hitch and wiring, rubber oem bed mat, and a cargo bar. i think thats about it.

for now.

mods to come

underhood light
linex
new tires
and whatever else i think of.

Where did you get the center console and 12v power plug? I would like to add those to my '96 F-150's center console

Wow, tons of good mods here. I've got to do the rear seat latches, didn't realize there was that much room back there. I've got the same socket set, looks to be a perfect fit. Thanks for sharing!

the tool set fits good but you cannot fold the seat up with it there. i had to move mine behind the little seat as i like the ability to fold up the big seat.

as for the console, i got it on kijiji. and the 12 volt plug i added myself.

I really like your mods but in particular interests me, like you I hate having wires dangling and like the way you have your radar detector wired and hard mounted. I have already ordered a new bare end wire for my Cobra and had planned to run the wire down the console but your set up is perfect. If I might ask where did you get your bracket for the Radar detector? All your other mods have my tired old brain churning...thanks for sharing.

I made my bracket. I couldnt justify spending the $100-$140 on a blendmount. What i used was a 2"x3"x1/2" piece of aluminum. Drilled 2 holes in the front for the bracket. Drilled 2 holes in the top for the mounting screws. Drilled a 3/4" hole to go around the mirror arm. And then cut the top off to allow it to go over the mirror arm. I just made another one for the wifes car. I just sent both out to be powder coated so when they get back ill take a pic and show you what i mean. Im bad at trying to explain some stuff as you can see.
