Default 2016 XLT Overlander / Adventure Build

New to the forum! Just wanted to have a detailed build thread and see what other members think. I purchased this 2016 XLT 5.0L in August and have been steadily making progress on it.

Basic specs:
5.0L with 3.55 locker
Tuxedo black with basic black interior.
6.5 foot bed
Twin panel moon roof

My current objectives of this build are:
Have a vehicle that can be used for many types of overland adventures, camping, snowmobiling and skiing.

List of mods and parts I intend to install in this build
DECKED 6.5' bed organizer
A.R.E Truck Cap
Yakima Roof Rack.
ADD Stealth Fighter front bumper with winch mount
40" curved light bar for the front
Warn Winch
ICON suspension

Here is the truck on the day I purchased it.

Bed Cap, roof bars and luggage rack installed
Bed cap is an ARE MX series cap - $1400
Rails and luggage rack from Rhino rack and Yakima, about $700

The luggage rack has quick disconnects, so I can remove the rack when I am using the truck as a daily and save 1-2 MPG.

Nice! We're basically starting from the same platform! Mine should be kicking off in a few weeks! 2016 XLT Overlander / Adventure Build-photo484.jpg

The first install was quite a pain. The bumper didn't quite match up with the fenders when installed and they designed it with these washers on the backside of the bumper...They really need a custom flange bolt because the washer 'sucks' into the frame horns. I contacted ADD and they made it right by sending a new bumper.

Some pics below.

Page 365 in the 2016 F150 Owner's Manual. If your truck is a different year and the info not on that page, then look in the Manual's index for "Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Changing Tires With a Tire Pressure Monitoring System".

I tried this and it seems the TPMS from the Raptor tires (2017 I presume) do not talk to the 2016 truck. I can't seem to find which frequency the Raptor tires and 2016 F150 tires are on this forum. I believe the Raptor tires are 315 Mhz.
