Default Scarlette's build Thread

Hi everyone I have been more of a lurker on here more than anything but I would like to contribute some of my pictures to the forum and kinda keep a log for myself as I upgrade my truck. My truck is a 98 Ford F150 4x4 with the 4.6L V8. She's pretty much stock right now. The only things I have done to the truck are a cat back exhaust system with a race muffler angled out the sides(sounds pretty good). It also had a tri fold tonneau cover and chrome LMC truck tail light covers. There are also two lights behind the grille. I would like to work on certain areas of the truck like for example maybe upgrade all the lights interior and exterior before I would upgrade things in the motor. Just to finish one area before I start somewhere else. I will post up some pics of the truck in a min. -Zach

Well I decided I'm going to start on the sound system first. But I would like to tint the windows first so people can't see inside after I start putting money into it. My first question is what percent tint is nice and dark but still street legal. And are the do it yourself tints you buy at auto zone okay? Or is it just better to have it done professionally? Thanks-Zach

The past couple days I was hauling some stuff around in the bed and it was getting annoying with having nowhere to attach straps. So I went and got my self two bed hoops to attach straps to. Here's a few pics.

And they sit flush with the bed rails so my cover can stay on.

I'd get the tint done at a shop. It usually isn't too much, and I'd go with a recommended shop. Nothing worse than trying to go cheap, and getting a lousy job. Match the back windows, and you should be ok.
Smart to hide what is inside first...

Yeah I wanted to try and hide the inside before I upgrade things in the inside. I did find a shop and since the gf works at the hospital I get 20% off. Just gotta make the trip. Hopefully I can get it tinted soon.
