Default Robert's Ruby Red 13' XLT

Figured I would go ahead and start one of these. Picked up a 2013 Super crew 5.5' bed Eco boost a few weeks ago. Has the 201a package and chrome package. 3.55 rear end, 4x4, of road package and electronic locking diff.

Already purchased and installed a tonno pro trifold soft cover and weathertech digital fit mats front and rear. I'll get some pics up in the next day or so. This is my first truck and I love it so far. Leasing it for now to see what happens with the Atlas in a few years, dealer offered me a price I couldn't refuse on my Taurus.
Right now the audio is my goal and first project.
Have a set of JL C5-570s on the way for the front, a JL clean sweep, and a JL JX340/4 on the way and knukonceptz wiring. Will either be running two JL 8w3v3s or two sundown SA-8s depending on what I want to spend. Will be a custom fiberglass box ported under the rear seat, amps installed on the back wall. Just going for a clean stealth install that gets loud and sounds good. Will likely add the C5 coax in the rear.
I've also picked up a power fold passenger mirror and have the switch on the way from Tasca. Where I park at home and work I need to pull them in daily. Plan to get the drivers side when I find a deal. Got the passenger for $100 off Craigslist.
Will also be getting the front windows tinted 20% within the next month.

Why are you throwing money away by putting in custom sound equipment? I wouldn't add ANYTHING to a leased vehicle, when the lease is up and you go for that Atlas they can and probably will charge you EXTRA for modifying the truck in ANY way up to and including the radio.

Leasing only works if you can deduct EVERY expense on taxes for a business, otherwise it's just a rental that will cost you for every single dent, ding, scratch and mile on the clock.

Save your $$ to trick out the truck you own.

You wouldn't upgrade smoke detectors for a hotel room would you?

Speakers come out end of lease. Clean sweep comes out end of lease. Possibly even goes straight into the next one. Power fold mirrors come off and so on and get sold. No harm done.

Ummm I guess you didn't take into account the body change and the incompatibility with the parts you plan to purchase>?

Those mirrors will likely NOT fit and any electronics you buy for the 13 might have some differences as well.

Think.

You do know Lease is a fancy name for rental right?

Mirrors fit factory mounts. Run two wires and done. No cutting of body panels. Same with speakers, fit all stock locations with no Modding. Just calm down. And window tint comes right off as well. Family has leased ford vehicles for 2 decades now with multiple family members retired from Ford and never had an issue.

Please at least tell me you can deduct the truck expenses for a business. If not your throwing a lot of $$$$ away.

Ok I guess if you have it to toss, but most people don't and I'm one.

P.S. My name is Robert and my truck is ruby red also. mine is a super cab.

Yes . Half my mileage is for work and moving light equipment. Gas is covered and a good part of the payment is as well. I'm not just jumping into this without looking into it. Don't plan to do a single thing that can't be undone easily. Just putting a simple 1,000 stereo to enjoy for 3 years. Spent more then that on my amp in my last vehicle. The goal is that just by removing the sub box it looks like the truck just rolled off the lot.

I added that $1,300.00 option, it sure didn't come with them.

Glad to know you have expenses that will cover the lease. When I worked at the dealer I saw a lot of salesman suck in these people with all kind of bs with a lease and they would lose every $$ they put into it.

Not to mention the vehicle they used as a trade.

You want that ruby red to really pop, hit it with this stuff. It's like a glass coating.
