Ok so i finally got my HIDS in but only to find out that i ordered the wrong harness for my lights but here is a quick tease of one of them mounted and the other mounted in my buddies truck.
I am extremely curious to see how they look on the white truck.
How difficult were the headlights to take apart to paint chrome piece white?
Putting the headlights back together is the "Hardest part." It requires some tedious work like scraping excess silicone away and adding more. It also has to be sealed properly or else it will soon develop condensation on the inside.
Baking them in the oven on 250 for 15 minutes seems quite scary but i have done it on my last truck before i tried this one.
The chrome piece on the inside is held by 3 screws and all of which you will need a phillips head screw driver.
Painting is pretty easy i didn't sand until i primed it first.
It took me about 2 hours to seperate and paint both the headlights.
Ok so far, i am having trouble with finding the right wiring harness and hooking it up. This seems to a bit more of a challenge than i bargained for, but i think i have successfully ordered the correct one this time!
