Have done a few more things to the truck in the last few months so figured I better post up some pictures.

The first thing I did was to hack up the dash pod I had for my SCT Livewire tuner. The pod I got was for an Edge tuner but I ended up cutting the top of the pod and cutting out a place for the connector. Turned out looking like it came from the factory. the way I had it before looked a little funny as the tuner just stuck out to far from the pod.

I also painted the ac vents and the center console trim rings black with plasti dip. I've had them painted now for about 3 months and the vents have help up really well. The trim rings on the center console have chipped a little but not really noticeable. If I redo them sometime I will look into adding clear coat over them maybe.

I also did the badges and emblems on the outside of the truck. They have help up well also. I did plasti dip the Grille surround too but that didn't hold up well at all. It chipped really easy and the bugs wouldn't come off so I peeled it off soon after I did it. (didn't get pictures of it tho)

The next thing I did was to replace the side mirrors out for a set of tow mirrors from 1AAuto. I didn't necessarily want to, but the factory mirror on the driver side got hit by a rock or small missile and had a huge hole knocked into it. I was skeptical the mirrors would look out of place on my truck or too large, but they look really well now and I think I can see better with them than the stock mirrors.

Here's a picture of what I like to do with the truck. Out for a quick day of riding at a small park near where I live.

I added a Catch can to the truck due to the surging I was experiencing with the truck. The catch can did make a noticeable difference in the way the truck ran. I no longer get the surging or stuttering I was having. (Hope it stays that way!!!)

Here is what the catch can caught the after just a few days. I empty it about once every month now.

And of course the biggest thing I've done so far.. wheels and tires. The stock tires on my truck were almost done for and I have spent countless hours on the internet pouring over every wheel and tire combo I could find. I really liked the Fuel Maverick wheels but couldn't decide on what size tire to go with. I ended up going with Fuel Mavericks in 20x9 in 20mm offset, with 275/60/20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2's. I love the look!! I don't like the wide tire look and these while the same size look just a tad wider than the stock wheels because of the tread.

I have a set of Firestone ride rite air bags on the rear that I installed a long time ago so the rear of the truck sits a little higher than a stock truck so I have a set of Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks hopefully going on, on Monday. The next mod I would like to do is to get a tri fold cover for the bed and then maybe get a new radio. I would also like to wire up the tow mirrors that I have so one of the lights on the side acts like a side marker light. But this is how she sits as of right now!

That looks really good. Did you buy the ptm mirror caps or did you just get yours painted? I'd like to do that with mine but they're already gloss black so I'd like another set in case I want to go back.

Good luck with your install! They are nice mirrors but it took me forever to install mine. I had to run new wiring and put in a new switch in order to have mine power fold. It would have been alot easier if I had done like most and just drilled a hole through the door connector to run the wires but I took everything apart and ran the wires just like the facrory wires with factory connectors going through all the factory plugs. I'm thinking about redoing mine so one of the lights on the mirror is running light instead of a puddle light but not looking forward to running the wire to do that. Wish I would have done it the first time around.

Thanks! I bought the set that came with paint to match caps and the regular caps. I had the caps painted when I first got the mirrors but liked the all black look so I didn't put the white ones on. I tried to install the caps when I first got them painted and was afraid I was going to break the mirrors trying to pull the black caps off. I talked to 1Aauto twice about removing the old caps and was told just to pull. Ended up finding a video on youtube of a guy taking his f250 caps off and found out how to do it. But now that the white ones are on I really like these bettet than the all black!
