Default Whats white, 2.7 liters and whistles when you wind it up?

Well last Week I was browsing the internet lots just out of boredom, after going through a few inventories I found exactly what I was looking for. So Friday after work I wandered on out there to see what they'd give me for my truck, I was expecting to just get angry with a low ball, walk away and forget about a new truck... not the case, drove the new ride home Monday afternoon.

I wanted a super cab, 2.7, 3.55, xlt in either oxford or caribou and that's exactly what I got. I wish it had a locking diff and tailgate step but neither of those were deal breakers.
Moving from a 2012 5L Screw FX4 that was loaded to a pretty basic XLT eco is a pretty big transition lol. I wanted to step down because I don't drive the truck much in the summer, having massive payments on a mostly winter vehicle makes little sense. The short box was a pain, that extra foot actually makes a surprising difference. Screw was pointless, 99% of the time my dog is my only passenger.
And if you're curious about rebates and what not it was $12k (canadian) off MSRP and 0% financing

Here's the old baby.

I had big plans for it when I bought it but never really got around to getting much of it done, 75,000 enjoyable and problem free kilometers.

After a few days in the new truck here are some comparative observations for anyone interested.
I loved the angry snarl of the coyote and it got good mileage but I also love that turbo whistle, I find myself with the music off and windows down a lot. I won't speak too much to the mpg of the 2.7 as its only got 250km on it but its definitely quite a bit better than the V8 already.
Auto start/stop is weird, anyone who says you don't notice it is lying, I like it for the most part though. I just don't like it if I stop juuust long enough for it to cut out then traffic starts moving again.
The standard mirrors suck, I absolutely abhor them, they look bad and they don't provide near the same visibility as the previous generations.
The standard audio system isn't that bad, not compared to the Sony 'upgrade' at least. I mean there's a little less bass.. a little less but other than that its just fine. That 4" screen is an eyesore though.
The cluster info display is soooooooo much better, more useful screens than off road, mileage and trans temp.
I really like the new interior, the placement of the arm rests is much better than the 2012 and its nice to have ***** and big buttons instead of the tiny things that were on my old truck.

Anyway, I miss my old truck but am very happy with the new one and I can't wait to get rid of the chrome.
