2003 FX4 Slow-go simple build
I've been on here for about a year and a half but never bothered to make a build thread because I hadn't done very much a didn't plan to. Well I figured i have enough upgrades to make a thread. The main theme around my build simplicity. The majority of my mods were cheap and easy to do on a budget.
My truck is a 2003 F150 FX4 supercab 5.4 with 3.55.
Here is it in April 2011 when I got it with just over 100xxx miles. Bone stock with exception of black westin nerf bars

Next I leveled the truck, added vent visors, and added a britetread toolbox that I got for $25 at a farm auction.
Next I took off the rusty nerf bars to repaint, got the windows tinted and had a 2.5" true dual cherrybomb extreme exhaust put on.
Next i put on Led tailgate light as well as some 55w backup lights

Next covers the repaining of the nerf bars.
1-First I sanded the old one free of rust and found holes through the bottom.
2-I used JB weld and sheet metal to cover the pin holes and weak areas.
3-First coat- first sprayed the bare bars with rust converter
4-Second/third coat- sprayed with rusty metal primer
5-Fourth, fifth, and six coats- Rustoleum bedliner
6-seventh coat- gloss clear coat
