Default New LONESTARTRUCKS Build Suggestions * PLEASE READ *

Hey F150 Forums, LONESTARTRUCKS here. Here at LoneStar lately we've been considering a new build. Not a old junkie F150 with tons of money into it and not a brand spanking new and expensive F150. Instead we came up with this idea, why not come up with a build, a average truck. Maybe this is your first truck and you're reading this in high school or you may just be going through financials troubles like we all mostly have at some time. Our truck, for this build we picked up a cheap 2005 F150 Crew Cab White, it's the standard 2WD. We picked this bad boy up with 80k miles for 10 grand! Our plan, put NO MORE than 6 grand into it ( excluding installing costs ) while still making a nice truck. We plan do donate the truck to a family in much better need of it than we do. Please throw out any suggestions you may have. We want to keep it white though, aftermarket bumper ideas are welcome though. So go ahead, post your ideas. 2005 F150 Crew Cab White 2WD. If someone would please post a picture d a stock one for me it'd be great, I can't seem to get my pictures working.

By the way, anyone who's ideas are used will be mentioned in the build. Follow on Instagram too lonestartrucks

oo im excited to see the results !
Do you guys have any idea as to what sort of look you are going for? An off road rig or a low rider or what?
Personally i'd say lift er up with a 4" all around and throw a nice brush guard with a winch kit or even a hidden winch mount on it. Retrofit the lights or replace with some projector lights (maybe some recons). Black everything not white out. I love the look of murdered white trucks.
Oh boy, almost forgot wheels. Maybe some nice Black wheels on there. Some XD's maybe?
Also either a Black mesh grill or a black horizontal billet grill.

Cool thread. My suggestions...

Total estimated cost (without labor and "worst case scenario") ≈ $4557.84

That was calculated at the high end of all the products combined. For example, Toyo A/T II 35x20" tires and Fuel Off-road Boost 20" wheels were factored in. Obviously, the significant change in cost will be determined by the choice of wheel and tire combo. Good luck on making the truck stand at, staying within budget, and making the family it's intended for very happy.

considering you'll be giving it away to a less fortunate family i would lean towards making it the most maintenance free setup and gas friendly it can possibly get.

that being said: 2/4 drop, colormatched exterior plastics/bumpers, 20"+ wheels, interior upgrades (katskinz, LEDs, audio, weathertechs), custom tune, exhaust.

I think its a great idea and I'm interested in how you are going to give the truck away.

zimmer0 you make a great point. We want to make sure this truck can maximize its potential and be able to have the least problems, we're currently working on the engine so hopefully the looks side of the build begins around end of next week. We all here at the shop agreed no more than 6 inches up and we are still debating if we want to put 35's because 35's can be quite expensive. lambo2936 we are looking brush guards right now love the suggestion, we would love to find a guard/hitch combo that's high quality but without spending the road armor price. Also thatIRISHtruck I like your ideas and costs but instead of a programmer buy a brush guard. With all due respect I don't think they need to be going fast anyways. Keep the suggestions coming! I will start another thread when we start looks!
