never ending 05 STX build on 37s
I figured it might be time to start a build thread. I'm a big jeeper as well and have always kept a build for that and it's actually come in handy before trying to get a timeline of mods. Anyway, I picked up my 2005 STX 4.6 in August 2014. Only searched for about 2 weeks before I found this one, and if I wasn't so damn anxious to get in one I probably would have waited until i found a 5.4...but, i got it for $9200 out the door with 92k on it. This is my 5th vehicle and the first one I haven't paid cash for now that i'm 24 and have school loans. I'm sure i'll eventually pop up in some pics with the truck somewhere, so yes, i am a girl which always seems to be a surprise to people. gets em every time
First few pictures of the basic bald tire truck:
now time to go back and search for all the mods i did..

First thing i did was get a new set of 33s, which I knew was a bad idea because I was going to want bigger...but i was going on vacation that week and the current tires had nothing left
33s
I then painted the wheels black
next was the window tint. i think its like 25% or something

Then SIDO flowmaster 40 exhaust with 12 inch tips. Which now i regret a few things...i wish it was louder, it has a nice rumble when started and accelerating but it's pretty quiet idling. And I love the look of the tips coming straight back but here in Ma with all the snow and some offroading i do, i tend to back those tips right into snow banks and stuff. I was i had them come out in front of the rear tire or something
also tinted the tailights

bought tinted headlights which you will notice later on i changed. these lens were tinted so basically no light got out, i then bought headlights with the back of it black instead of chrome so they look like the lens are tinted
swapped cluster from an fx4 that i bought in ebay. it has 400 more miles on it than my truck currently had so it was perfect. i just waited till i reached the same mileage and swapped it. Made the lights blue, and put in a 7 inch touch screen stereo

added a 3" PA body lift. Trust me, i would have preferred a suspension lift but you can't beat the price. But...i will admit, and i tell other people, suck it up and buy the suspension lift. In the near future, i plan to make the leveling kit a 2 inch and add a 4" suspension and ill keep the body lift just because it was damn paint to get in so ill have 7" of lift
