Today i was almost done with my A/C insulation. I bought the .5" foam insulation, which was enough before settling on the insulation wrap. I think the wrap by itself did a good job and the results are good, my A/C is a tad colder than usual, i dont have figures but by feeling. But just in case and since i already bought the foam but is smaller to cover the wrap and pipes, maybe the 1" would do fine.

I was wondering if you had to do this mod. Nice pictures of the job.

Actually i didnt have to do it, but when i park the truck in an open parking in the sun and the temp here is around 45-50C it takes too long to cool down in cabin. i tried it yesterday night and i must say, the fan speed usually stays on the 3rd level, but it went down to the 1st speed.
very happy i did this mod and it didnt even cost 30$ and an hour of my time.

I remember the heat well. Lol. in the cities it didn't seem too Bad, but anything outside of 7 ring IIRC got all the moisture from the ocean then the heat from Iraq/Saudi. Made it definately no fun. Lol.

Unfortunately for us we are required to have a front license plate. Actually i didnt look into the anchors until you mentioned them, they are pricey. Its not a priority right now since we go out in group. maybe when im done with all the modding i might look into getting one.
I installed the pads, and literally it took me less than 5mins to install them and breaking one of the tabs

Been a while since updating the build..
Nothing Major, Since i have nothing to do till the 2nd week of October, way too much free time. I decided to have a look at the CAI filter

I was right, after our trip to Um Oshar, KSA on new years', and some sand storms during the summer.. that's how the filter sits

I also took the opportunity to clean the MAF sensor, using CRC MAF cleaner

The filter all cleaned up.

I must keep in mind doing that more often, and getting a Dry replacement filter.
