I've seen a lot of these "official" build threads so I figured I'd join in and walk you guys (and gals) through the progress from beginning to now, and beyond on my 2009 FX4.

Here is the earliest pic I could find of the truck... all I had done here was the Carriage Works billet grill, Line-X Spray on bed liner, 15% tint on the front windows to match the rear, and Flowmaster 40 Series SIDO with 3.5" angled tips.

The next mods were AVS in channel vent shades, LED interior dome/map lights, LED tails and recon third brake light, LED backup bulbs with aux LED pods on the hitch receiver, and 6000k HID heads and fogs.

I used those bulky AVS blackout covers on the tails here but the lights were cheap and crapped out so I eventually went with Recon LED tails and Lamin-X tint/film.











Also, I painted the grill black and then tried the headlight covers too.... not cool, worst decision ever!

Next came some Moody Blue graphics and painted emblems.

Those taillights are DARK! Have you ever thought of putting a light coat of nightshade on the fog lights?

I have but then went against it, I'm going to wait and do blacked out retrofit heads and fogs in the near future...

How did you black out the emblems and still be able to read them?

Recon LED Tails with Lamin-X Tint/Film, matte black Grenade logo to replace the white one (Moody Blue graphics), PTM gloss black exhaust tips.
