Was this a totaled truck? If so, what kind of title will this have when its done?

Looks like you are making progress. Looks good so far.

Default Title question

To Kommander,

The truck currently has a salvage title. In the state of MS, after the truck is repaired, it will either have a rebuilt title or a clean title. Depending on how MS DOT view the repairs. MS DOT says if the roof is replaced it will be given a rebuilt title. And they count panel replacements, so the bed side, front fender and hood count as three panels. If they count the replacement of the other bed side and front fender (because I am putting Raptor aftermarket panels on the truck) they will issue a rebuilt title vs a clean title. But because I plan on keeping the truck, I'm not real concerned about the title.

It is my plan to post a detailed description and pictures of what's involved with installing an Aftermarket Raptor bedside. So stay tuned.

Hey! Welcome to the raptor conversion club! I did the conversion with my wrecked 06 f150. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions. I'm still not 100% done but working on it.

Nice job on the roof section. Do you have pictures of the full truck?

The roof looks really good. If you don't mind me asking, do you do body work for a living? I have tried my hand at it and found my skills to be better with a computer than body work. lol Although, I love working on cars/trucks and would love to do a conversion like this.

Truck looks good. Did you use true Raptor Parts or Aftermarket parts?

Kommander, 30 plus years ago I worked in a body shop while in high school and had plans to open my own shop. But I always stayed sick from the sand dust and got tired of dealing with rusted out cars from Western New York road salt and such. So I gave up the plans of doing this as a career. Now I am just a weekend hobbyist.

Default Replacing the bedside with a Raptor Aftermarket side

As you will see in the pictures I removed the original bedside by first removing the bed cap, tail light assembly, removed tail gate to gain access to some spot welds. Disconnected the fuel filler assembly and removed main bed bolts so that I could move bed slightly off the frame to gain access to front spot welds.

Tip: Use a standard spot weld cutter to cut the spot welds. They work really well.

With all the spot welds cut you are able to remove the bed side from the inner bed panels. Note inner fender is still attached to inner bed and front filler panel is still attached to front headboard. These will both be removed as well.
