Those 5.0 badges are awesome! I'm totally getting some of those.

Thanks. 2 for $12 shipped hk5motors.com or 2 for $16 on Amazon (sold by same company). You can also buy just 1 for around $8. They have black/blue emblems as well.

Install tips:
1. They are very thin so you have to be careful when handling/applying.
2. Reviews said they fade over time so I sprayed some clear coat on it and let it dry before application.
3. Clean/dry the area well before application. If you aren't covering same area up where old badges were removed, WAX.
4. Use a hair dryer or heat gun to help loosen the adhesive on old badge prior to removal. I also used 3M adhesive remover.
5. Heat the adhesive a little before application of new badge so it will stick better.

don't bother with a CAI. they're for decoration only pretty much.

a CobtaJet manifold is the sickest option period for N/A, and it REQUIRES its own intake, so the CAI would go in the trash (where it belongs), but a super charger will be a panty wetter and dropper straight up. I'd do that!

Were the husky wheel well liners easy to install?

Thanks for the install tips. I was going to completely de-badge my truck but I just found out the F-150 badges on the sides are clipped on and not stuck on so there are holes in the sheet metal behind them. I think what I will do now is get a pair of the 5.0 badges and put one under each F-150 badge on the sides of the truck then just de-badge the tailgate.

I've heard very mixed reviews on this topic so I've been considering a drop in. I've had a K&N drop in filter in every vehicle I've owned until now. CobraJet or SC is far down the line - hence living the dream priority.

XLT_AK - passenger side not so bad, driver side needed a cussing and my wife's high dollar hair dryer to fit the back fastener into place. I've read that many people just drill a new hole instead of fiddling with it, but I'm hard headed.

the drop ins don't filter as well as the stock filters, that's how they flow more, and that factory filter already outflows the engine.

my brother had a 5.3L chevy pickup, and he took off his KN cold air intake after I told him it's junk and to check the pipe running from the filter box to the intake manifold. He did check it, and there was a fine layer of dust throughout.

Those aftermarket filters filter more as they're clogged, as a matter of fact. there are charts out there, but I'm too lazy to post them. just trying to help you save a buck.

they sure sound sweet, as the intake sound is not muffled by baffles, but they literally do you no good.

Minor changes tonight: AntennaX 14" installed and rear license plate bracket swapped to plain, all steel, matte black instead of dealer plastic. All dealer logos finally off of my truck!

Upcoming: just got a quote from Tasca for the LED box lights and tailgate damper kit for a great price. I might pull the trigger on these items sooner than I thought.

You should do a before and after picture!
With that being said, how do you like those huskys? I've been debating between Weathertech and Huskys for awhile.

I originally bought WT mats but they shipped in pretty warped. Not impressed, reminded me of those cheapo rolling chair mats you see all cracked in offices. Exchanged them for Husky X-Acts and I've been nothing but impressed. As for before/after pics, lately I've done a lot of the work late in the day by shop light. I have some pics but they don't show up well. If all goes to plan I'll be doing fender badges this weekend in the daylight and I'll post pics then.
