Rebuilt my double cardan joint and put in new u-joints last night. Had a bad clunking and the carden was trashed. I changed the rear diff fluid (painted the cover while I had it off). I also did the permanent wiring for the starter control on the transmission harness. I got the seats installed and most of the dash put back together. I still need to figure out something on the turn signal switch. The wire retainer clips on several wires are broken in the connecter and let the wires slide out. I went to the junk yard the other day looking for a conencter. I found 4 or 5 of them, but they all had wire retainer clips broken on them too. Must be a common problem. I'll get some pics after I ge the dash back together.

Been a while since I updated this. I thought I had current progress pics posted, but I guess not. I completed the wiring and have had it running for around 3 months now. I love the ZF5 swap, though I haven't been driving the truck much since I finished up my car. I drove it for the first time in a while the other day and believe I've got a bad crank bearing. It's making the same sound my old Mustang made before it tossed a rod.

That being said, since I've been dailying my car, I'm going to start a major redo of the truck as soon as I get some bills paid (IE needing more expendable income). I'm going to start of with a SAS swap. For that I'm going to use a pre-'79 F150 axle (using adapters to get the correct bolt pattern & track width) and leaf springs (not sure from what application yet). I'm going to go for the equivalen of around a 5-6" lift and run 315/75-16 tires. The reason for the suspension redo is that I plan to yank out the 5.4 and swap in a 12v 6BT Cummins. I'm also debating getting a junk super cab and sectioning it to my cab. I need room and would really love to run a super crew with a 6' bed, but then I'd have to buy all new doors and the expense just isn't worth it for me.
