Default My 2014 F150 Sunset SuperCrew Build

Long Time Lurker, First Time Poster... Wanted to share some of the things I've done with my truck since I bought it in September.

Installed USB2 Mod (16GB iPod Nano in Glove Box) - I actually shaved part of the connector for USB1 off and plugged it into the USB2 port so USB1 is in the glove box
Line-X Kevlar Bedliner Installed
Installed JBL GX862 Speakers in All Four Doors
Remove TX Edition Badge - I'm sure all of the chrome haters will appreciate that
Michelin Wiper Blades - The Factory Blades chattered pretty bad

Some Pictures:

The day I bought her - I named her Ginger.

Don't bash on me too hard for naming it.

16GB iPod Nano in it's permanent home (not really, just held in with Velcro)

Love the interior of this truck - XLT with Leather and a Console

Not heated or ventilated - And I prefer a column shift in a truck

Line-X Bedliner - Pricey but worth it

I actually blew the passenger front speaker which sparked my interest in replacing them

JBL GX862 Installed in Drivers' Door

Close-Up of the JBL GX862

Default Unique....I like!

Much like my Pale Adobe w/ adobe interior......I like the uniqueness (is that a word?) of your XLT truck. Sunset Metallic is an awesome color and w/ the tan leather w/ the console it's sweet!!! I will be following your build no matter where it goes. I have some wheel well liners and a bit of Plasti Dip ordered so stand by for some changes to "Tanner"........doesn't everybody name their truck?....lol......

I Hope to black out most of the chrome soon and level it out.........Thanks for all the great advice here.........
That's a nice truck too... Looks like we have the same truck sans 4wd.

My next projects I hope to accomplish are:
Install Rear Wheel Well Moldings - BL3Z-9927886-A
Create Rubberized Antenna Grip with Heat Shrink Tubing
Under Seat Storage - 9L3Z-78115A00-CA
DeeZee Tailgate Assist - 43200
Remote Tailgate Unlock - PL8250

I looked up the part numbers and total I can to everything for under $300. I like a regular antenna but did that mod to my last truck and it made antenna removal easy.

I traded this in on Ginger. I liked this truck a lot and wasn't really looking for a new one but fell in love when I saw ginger.

Added the DeeZee tailgate assist. Kinda silly and yet kinda neat.

How do you like those JBL speakers? I'm looking to put those same speakers in my truck also. Did you replace the tweeter's too? I'm also thinking of replacing the factory tweeters with the JBL GTO19T tweeters. BTW, I've got the same exact color truck as you. I wasn't that crazy about the color at first, but I've really grown to like it.

I'm also interested in these exact speakers. I listed to them last night at Best Buy and found that they have a Superior mid-range compared to many other speakers in the same price range. How do you like them?
