I will post pics later, I have a stock 3 week old f150 supercrew red candy metallic with the chrome package. I downsized from the f250.

I like the chrome accents but don't want anymore chrome. Do you think it would look funky if I took and smoked my tail lights with vht? And maybe the headlights? I'm not going for a black out look by any means but just one, maybe two coats at most.

I'm getting a leveling kit put on in two weeks.

I'm in the process of ordering my TBC through TASCA.

I have a lot more things I want to do but right now they are just visions.... hell, I'm just glad to have the truck. I'm gonna wait a year or two for wheels and tires. Maybe exhaust in the fall. I'll have to do some research on here to see what system I want on. I will post a picture later today.

You have a 2012? I'd do it right, take it to a bodyshop and ask for them to smoke those. They can make it match paint if black and they let must of the brake light through

About smoking the lights. I personally have not done it myself but my friends have. However they have done the entire process of using sand paper to scratch up the surface. I am told you can do it without sanding, and if I desired I could take it back off without a problem, or if I liked it, I could sand it and make it look perfect.

Either way, I don't really care to spend $100 to have them one or two shades darker.

I think I'm gonna do my third brake light without sanding it and see how it looks. from there I will go to the tail lights and maybe the head lights.

Here is a picture of my truck two days after I got it.

Default Update on the truck

Ok, I have been busy... getting laid off. In the mean time, before I got the bad news, I was able to put some tint on the front windows and the banner on the windshield. The front windows are actually darker than Utah's legal limit. I put them to a 35% tint.

I also got a UWS slim line, low profile tool box for the truck. I don't carry many tools, but since the cab doesn't have much storage space, I got this small box to put all my essential tools and emergency items in. It gives me my room back in my cab, but it still allows me to put my quad in the bed and pull a trailer. Granted I have to ratchet my tailgate, as it is about 4 inches from latching shut. Here are the pictures to show what I have done. I am also in the middle of a pull string to drop the back seats to put some blankets and other emergency items.

Here in Utah at the end of January we went to the sand dunes with 2 razors and 2 raptors. I was just pulling out of the gas station and saw my truck asking for me to take its picture. This 900s razor got around dang good for the amount of snow, especially where the drifts piled up!

This week I've put on my 2 inch level and had it aligned. Today I installed the firestone ride rite air assists/air bags. I'm posting these pictures because I haven't seen the air lines ran where I put them. Heard of it on older trucks but not on these newer styles. I didn't want the valve stems on the tailgate in fear of weather and being bent/stepped on. I ended up running them to the fuel door. After some checking, it all worked out fine. Pic #2 (right side) shows the line running towards the front of the truck though the frame and then into the bed frame across to the left side to be tied to the fuel lines up to the fuel door. Pic #3 (left side) shows the line from passenger side coming through the bed frame. Driver side air line is coming in from the frame just out of the picture and runs through the frame to the air bag located in pic #4. Pic #5 shows the air lines running up the fuel lines and looping around to the valve stems that are in the fuel door. The loop allows the lines to not put pressure on the valve stems. Pic #6 the fuel door does not touch the valve stems and when refueling there is nothing hitting their either. I did go back and tape up any extra areas that might get rubbed for extra precaution but all in all, I'm happy with the install and I'm not worried of any rubbing issues through the years.
