So its been a little while since I have posted an update on the truck. Since the last time that I posted, I have returned the headlights back to stock for two reasons. One the aftermarkets that I had put in tended to leak and streaked up the insides of the lenses pretty bad. Those are going back to get replaced once I actually have some time to send them out. Secondly, the HID's that I got had a ballast plug that turned out to not be water tight and, well it no worky anymore. So I tried, and begged, and pleaded to get a replacement with the seller who told me that it would be covered under warranty but to no avail. The company has refused to acknowlege or respond to any of my emails, phone calls, or business messages. I'm pretty friggin upset about it. But on to whats being improved. I started on the underbody restoration using a rust converter to see what kind of results I could get out of it. I have friends that have used rust converters on many other projects so I figured why not try it on the truck. Well it is coming along extremely well and the underbody is starting to look brand new again. The next thing I will be doing in the near future will be an LED conversion for the headlights instead of HID's. A friend of mine at work has them on his jeep and I personally think they are just that much better.

I finally got around to ordering the LED conversion and I also happened to order paint to attempt a retrofit project.

LED headlights went in the other day. For anybody curious about them, I started a thread in the Lighting forum a little while back. The short and sweet thatI can say is just, WOW. I will be getting around to taking pictures of the truck when I actually have some real time on my hands.
