kozal01: Wow, was just shown this thread by another user and just finished reading the entire thread.

What an amazing job. Congratulations on a excellent job well done. So what'd you pay your dad for doing all that work? And I can only imagine how much more you enjoy the truck, building from the ground up and seeing where you started at.

Heck, I would have most likely paid the $5K just to put that interior in my XLT. And it would have taken me years to do.

Congratulations on your new truck!

thanks man! it sure does make me appreciate my vehicles much more after a project like this. my father wont take any money for this beyond material costs. he does it out of the goodness of his heart and i could never thank him enough for it. i try to pay him back by doing odd jobs around his shop for him or favors whenever he needs them. he just doesnt want to see me buy a vehicle that i could have for less than half price so he offered to help me with this truck.

Amazing job with the truck! Have you thought about driving it back by the salvage yard you purchased it from and showing it off? I think it would be neat to take it by and show them what you have done with it.

Sounds like a great dad you have there, cheerish it and enjoy your dads company! Mine was that same way when he was with us, just not nearly as handy with rebuilding vehicles.

I hope you at least bought your dad a few beers to kick back for his troubles though. That's at least what my father liked. When a job was done, we'd kick a few back and admire our (his) work.

Just found this thread and thought I'd echo everyone else and say GREAT WORK! What a great story this truck has now and at a good price - your photos were much appreciated by me and everyone else who'
s read this I'm sure. Really exciting to follow the progress so I can only guess what it was like for you when it was all done. Congrats, now do your dad a favor and get the name and number of his shop POSTED!
