Default My 1997 F250 Light Duty/ Buckshot482's old build

First off, I am 18 years old and still a senior in high school, I pay for my mods, so if I take a while to update. This is my third truck, yeah I know, that may seem like a lot of trucks to have gone through, but I can explain. My first truck I got was a 1972 Ford f100, me and my dad were going to fix it up. Long story short, every time we fixed it, something else broke down. We payed 1200 for it and dropped 3000 in it, so we gave up. So my dad broke picked me up a 1997 F250, 5.8L gas, for 1000 bucks. I drove that around for 2 years intill i could prove to my dad he can trust me in a more expensive vehicle, He doesnt see buying a 16 year old a brand new vehicle for their first vehicle. So for my graduation gift, my dad said he would put 3000 down on a truck but i will have to make the monthly payments. I came across this 1997 f250 light duty, it had everything i wanted, Four wheel drive, cruise control, and of coarse, cup holders. However it did have 195,000 miles on it... It was the only four wheel drive our local used dealership had. I talked the guy down to 5500, so with my dad's downpaymet i owe 2500! I dont think its to bad. Sorry for the long story, i just didnt want people thinking my daddy just went out and bought the truck. Oh and i have been filling up my trucks myself, my dad doesnt pay for gas or anything, just the insurance.

Going from a 5.8 to a 5.4, the first thing i notice was the power wasnt where i wanted, especially with the big tires. So the first thing i did was i bought me a edge programmer. Big difference. Next thing was I had to get the truck sounding like it looked. You would make fun of a big body builder if he had a high pitch voice, so I had to get it sounding mean. Its a flowmaster, with five inch stainless steel tips.

Then I started thinking I wanted either a brush guard or a bull bar, I chose the brush guard because I like how it adds more protection. I originally wanted a stainless steel or chrome one, but I ended up getting a black one. The company who made it is named Gage. Its a company out Schulenburg, Texas, about 2 hours away from me. The only thing I do no like about it is that the bar blocks the stock fog lights, but i figured i can cut it and reweld it to make it look better. But i still think it was money well spent.

Both great looking trucks. Love where the green has gone over the years.

Then I picked up a new used radio head unit from a friend. It was brand new in the box, and I got it for fifty bucks.
I also decided to convert all my interior lights to leds. I was going to hook it up the floor lights to go with the bass of the radio, but i had a feeling that it will be distracting.. i would be watching the lights more than the road.
