Thank yall! I didn't want solid black (wouldn't look good on my truck), and I didn't want all chrome (beach sand scratches them too bad and I don't wash my truck as often as I should). The guy showed me these and I liked them, but I was really nervous about how it would look with my color scheme. I'm glad I pulled the trigger. I need to retint my windows, hopefully it will tie them in more.

A little flex, and removed the dealer badge finally.

Also got around to painting the frame black with the torsion bars, diff cover, and drive shaft silver. I will get better picture when the sun isn't as bright out and casting shadows.

If anyone one knows someone looking to buy 7 lug wheels (not a whole lot of demand for them), I have my old set in the "trade and sales" section under the 97-03 f150. I need them gone.

Thanks, I appreciate that. It's a slow work in progress, I can't wait till I finish my degree next spring and start making real money. I am hoping to land an internship that can help speed along this progress. I am almost "finished" with how I want the truck for now.

Not a big update by anymeans. Removed the "Fx4" sticker since it was faded badly. I figured if I don't like the sticker-less look I will just get a new one. Also went dune riding at the beach and was able to snag a few pictures

I think so too. I really like the last picture. It doesn't do justice of the angle I was at though. It was more impressive looking in person.

This is my third truck, yeah I know, that may seem like a lot of trucks to have gone through, but I can explain. My first truck I got was a 1972 Ford f100, me and my dad were going to fix it up. Long story short, every time we fixed it, something else broke down. We payed 1200 for it and dropped 3000 in it, so we gave up. So my dad broke picked me up a 1997 F250, 5.8L gas, for 1000 bucks. I drove that around for 2 years intill i could prove to my dad he can trust me in a more expensive vehicle, He doesnt see buying a 16 year old a brand new vehicle for their first vehicle. So for my graduation gift, my dad said he would put 3000 down on a truck but i will have to make the monthly payments. I came across this 1997 f250 light duty, it had everything i wanted, Four wheel drive, cruise control, and of coarse, cup holders. However it did have 195,000 miles on it... It was the only four wheel drive our local used dealership had. I talked the guy down to 5500, so with my dad's downpaymet i owe 2500! I dont think its to bad. Sorry for the long story, i just didnt want people thinking my daddy just went out and bought the truck. Oh and i have been filling up my trucks myself, my dad doesnt pay for gas or anything, just the insurance.
Buckshot, I liked your truck so much I went out and bout one just like yours but a 99 lariat.
