Default My 1997 F-150 build

So this should take some of you older folk back into your youth years. I am just a 16 year old kid who originally just wanted a pickup truck for work. When I bought the truck I only owed a couple hundred bucks, so after it was payed off, I had some "extra" money, and found out about the classified ads. And so my build began. I bought the truck in October 2013, it is a 1997 (sold to me as a 1998) F-150 XLT 4x4 4.6L V8, automatic transmission with 160k miles. I started out small, then started going big when I forgot why I bought the truck. I basically turned a nice work truck into a pretty street truck. Take a look:

The day I bought it:

Got used 33" tires and a tool box

Got some nerf bars

Got a grille guard, it doesent fit, but I made it work

When you get a grille guard, you have to get some off-road lights, and I got rid of the black plastic things in the bumper, went to a scrap yard and got the lights

Got a canopy (still trying to get it repainted)

Got some new headlights and tail lights (I am going back to stock tail lights I think)

Got some ***** at work (I don't like to abuse my truck)

Got some 35" tires and 17" rims, the rims came off of a Jeep

Got a problem:

Got a 5" lift kit

Got some wheels that actually fit my truck

That's it for now, next up is fender flares.

You have a nick looking Red Truck And you have worked for it.
Question is,
In the late 1990's certain Style Truck wheels came with it's own Gears.
Are those 3:73's? in the rear end?
Some Aluminum wheels only came with 3:55 and another style only came with 3:73's.

Now Ford uses 3:31's for their Mileage Tests.
I've never seen 3:31 on 4x4's.
Remember, Too much Bling is like too little.
Have some fun.
Just Curious.

It seems to me I have 3:55, but I have never checked, that is just what the dealer told me, but he also told me it was a '98. How do I check?

it should be stamped ona tag on the rear diff. like 3 55 in the top left corner of the tag, and the year should be stamped ona sticker inside your door( on the rear door i think in our scabs) driver side for sure tho

Hey guys, thanks for the positive comments, sorry Jefk, I forgot to post back lol, I do have 3:55 gears. A quick update on the truck:

Got a headache rack:

After a year of contemplation, I finally got the 4x4 stickers:

Then I got bored with nothing to do, so I painted the scuffed up plastic on the console.

I did get a new muffler, check out the video:

Other than that it has just been washing it and replaced a seal lol. I am hoping to get fender flares maybe in the spring.

Couple more updates, I got a new set of headlights, and painted my throttle body cover. The cover didn't turn out very good, all I did was use some spray paint and a paint brush.
