My outer tie rods came in yesterday. Driving to work today going about 45, transmission is already shifted into O/D, go to accelerate lightly to keep up with traffic and truck starts bucking and shaking, turn off O/D, it shifts into 4th and problem gone. I'm thinking spark plugs and wires, possibly disp cap too. I have just over 58k miles on it, think the plugs will come out easy?

Anyone know signs of the transmission starting to go out? I only ask this because when my truck downshifts, it's pretty hard shift, but going up through the gears is fine...

Okay, So I think I have posted enough questions, now for some actual progress!
Tomorrow the plugs, outer tie rods, and rear differential fluid will all be replaced. Then Friday the truck will go get an alignment. I'm excited to have all this done.

Plugs going bad will mimic a trans issue, I replaced mine with 58k and one broke, so make sure to have the lisle tool. Mine shifted better afterwards. Moog are a good choice for tie rods, ball joints and the like. A new rear diff cover might provide more capacity, better heat transfer and are possibly stronger than stock. This is very easy to do yourself, just make sure to wear old clothes you no longer want, this stuff stinks, and put some cardboard down for spills.

Truck is in the shop as I type, will be getting the spark plugs replaced and the rear diff fluid changed. Also will hopefully be getting washed. I ask them to do it since I know they have a heated wash area, and temps have been in the 20's here, so it needs a bath pretty bad, didn't have time to give it one before it got cold. Will pick it up on the 5th (same day Ford releases the new Mustang ) so will hopefully post pics shortly after that of the truck all clean.

Okay trucks back and all is good so far. They even gave it a quick bath. Here are some pics, not the best ones but all I could get this morning.

Killer truck man! I've got your sister truck in Anchorage, she's a 06 SCREW XLT in the same silver! I bought it last year and whoever had it before me must have loved chrome but hated springing for the good stuff. The first thing I did was rip off all the peeled/corroded plastic chrome off it. It's come a long way, I think you've inspired me to start a build thread, more for my own pride than anything... My favorite mods you've done are the center console, bumper conversion, and tow mirrors. Ohh and the famed Saleen grille... I've been on a "wait list" for 3 months awaiting their production... Like someone said earlier I'd suggest PTMing the Tow Mirror caps, I think it'll add a unique touch, and tie them into the truck. My most loved Mods to my own (suggestions for a rainy day, looks like you have a few) are a full LED switch in/out, interior is especially nice during our 9+ months of darkness, and my Bakflip F1 cover (probably because I literally JUST bought it!!) Anyways planned to post to give you props on the sharp truck and now I've written an essay..... I'll post some pics when I get her clean again.
