you ever figure out what was wrong with the ticking and trans/plug problems? i got a 2010 screw in black and i have some 'diesel' type ticking from the engine bay and then i have some shimmy/hard shifts from 1st/2nd, then i have a weird thing where when i come to complete stop i feel like a thump almost like it is downshifting from 2nd to 1st but i feel it in the whole truck. i will start a new thread as not to hijack yours but just wanted to know about those 1st two things i mentioned since i read through the entire thread and saw that.

The ticking as far as i know if the VCT Sensors or something like that. There is a lot of threads on here about the dreaded Tick. But if you read everyone, it doesn't cause any issue it's just more annoying than anything. I personally don't mind it as long as it's not hurtful. It can be pretty spendy to fix too, and most people say it comes back so why bother. As for the shuddering, mine was cause by bad tune on my Edge Evo. Changed somethings and all it's all good now, I do still have some slight shuddering when going from 4th to OD if I let off the gas then tap it again right away..but I have changed my driving habits to avoid that haha.
