My 08 FX4 build log
Well up until now I haven't felt the need to have a build log because several of my mods were done by the previous owner. But now that I have had some time to do a few mods let the posts begin. I bought my truck in October and it was already lifted on rockstar wheels and 35in. tires. It had AMP research steps, K&N intake, blacked out tail lights, and a saleen grill. So I feel pretty lucky to have had all that done to it. This is how the truck looks today.

The modding I have been doing is all inside the truck. I installed the Pioneer Appradio 3. Hard wired my escort radar detector, and replaced the guage needles and background.
A lot more to come. I love this truck best investment so far.

Haven't updated my build in a while because a year ago this happened
Sucked pretty bad but, I honestly couldn't stand the App Radio 3, so now I have a reason to buy something different. Thinking about the Alpine 8 in. screen, but we'll see.
Here are some photos of the latest mods.
Harley Davidson headlights. I'll eventually be adding some angel eyes and convert these
Got the bed gaps filled for Christmas
Had the exhaust put on by a local shop, really good guy. One of the old boy hot rodder types.
Single Flowmaster 40 series.
Have an edge evolution on the way from Stage 3. So all in all its good to be working on the truck again.

Well the install wasn't bad at all, although I did run into an issue I didn't see ahead of time. The factory installed dome light is dead in the middle of the console. Doesn't really bother me like it might for another person. I need to figure out the wiring diagram for the rear light as the dome light and the console light are different plugs. All in all I really like the look of the overhead storage and the extra space it affords.

Sweet truck. Sucks about getting your radio stolen, but since you didn't like it away that kinda worked in your favor. For your overhead console light, why not tap into the dome light and keep them both hooked up, I can always use more light in the truck. Just an idea. Keep posting updates and keep up the good work.

Very much appreciate it. I am retrofitting another push on light switch in the rear area like the setup in the front. It will be nice to have map lights in the front and rear seats.

After the last head unit was stolen I took some time to decide what I wanted to do to the truck as far as stereos go. Settled on the Pioneer 4100NEX. I've got a lot of plans for the center console so I will keep posting my progress. Needless to say the stereo will be pretty difficult to steal after the last theft.
Picked up the head unit for a hell of a price so couldn't pass it up. I was planning on purchasing the same one, but when you find it from an authorized dealer for $150 off..... well.
This is step one of the console build. It's going to be pretty sweet when all said and done.
