My '07 Redfire XLT
** mods - feel free to move to build sub forum if that makes more sense
Recently rejoined the ranks of F150 ownership after a 5 year hiatus. Originally planned to just buy a "beater" truck for some light hauling/towing, but came across this truck and decided to go all in.
Purchased May '15 - completely stock '07 XLT 5.4 with ~38k miles. It's RWD, but I live in Ohio and don't have much need for 4x4 - in the past, I've simply added weight to the bed of my truck during the winter and have gotten around anywhere I've needed.
Mods/upgrades so far:
- Replaced front & rear Ford emblems, as they had become delaminated and looked like crap
- 50% tint up front (Ohio law) + extra layer of 50% on back over factory tint
- Pioneer headunit, Sirius satellite, and reverse camera
- Bakflip tonneau cover
- FX2 grille
- Black headlights
- Goodyear Wrangler A/T tires
Planned/Coming soon:
- 09-14 fender & tailgate badges - painting flat black
- Glossy B-pillar covers (coming this week)
- Jumpseat to center console swap (coming this week)
- Sport Edition TK6 black rims (17" stock size):
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...7805B&i1_Qty=4
- PTM grille surround (?)
- PTM mirror caps (?)
- PlastiDip black front & rear chrome bumpers (?)
- Nightshade tails & brake light (?)
Thoughts? Advice? Trying not to dump too much more money into this once the above are completed, really just wanted to put my own touch on it since I'll be driving it regularly for a few years.

Update before wheels get installed.
Plastidipped the front and rear bumpers + grille (and surround) - all flat black with 4+ coats (no clear). Also installed glossy b-pillars (although not very clear in the photos)
Almost done...

Wheels mounted. I've got some black Ford emblem stickers to go over the center caps for a more finished look.
Will throw a coat of wax on the truck next week and shine the tires up a bit for better photos.

Goodyear Wrangler A/T
I have those same tires; you're gonna LOVE them! They haven't failed me yet, and are near impossible to slide around on. They are the best tires on slick surfaces IMO, and I don't know how any tires could grip better

So far, considerably better grip on wet roads than stock. Thanks for the comment, was beginning to think this thread was hidden to the general public
