Default Much Base, Very XL

Picked up a 2005 F150 XL Single Cab v6 auto 2wd with 100k miles for $4800
It's a stripped out work horse and that's why I bought it

I've had quite a few Ford trucks and I thoroughly enjoy tinkering with them. Fortunately this one has a lot to tinker with.

The day I brought her home last week:

And I've tackled quite a few small things.

Cleaned up and repainted the worn out bed rail caps

Sanded and primed the rust plaguing the bed. Going to do a bed mat or drop in liner so it doesn't have to be perfect, but something needs to be done to stop the insanity

Still a LOT of work to do back here, but I couldn't stand looking at the rust for another day.

Default New wheels

By far this is my favorite thing I've done!
Picked up a set of '12 expedition wheels and tires from craigslist
Tires are great, wheels are scuff free.
Paid $450

WHAT A CHANGE

BEFORE

AFTER

thanks for the compliments y'all!

I've been building up my shopping list of things to come for the truck.

So far:
OEM CD Radio (and potentially an antenna adapter)
Lower dash cubby (below the cup holders, it's missing)
Gas flap housing
Floor mats
Steering Wheel Cover
OEM Brake Pedal Cover
Bed Mat or Drop in Liner

If anyone has any of those things on the cheap I'd love to chat with you!

Been considering this carpet floor mat since I've got the rubber flooring. Thought it might add a nice touch and it's only $30 on Amazon right now.

Also tossing around the idea of this clip in grille overlay. Thoughts?

As for things I don't have to buy, I've been looking at painting the top portion of the front bumper white (potentially plastidip) to break up the stripped out look a little.

Did a little scrubbing on the wiper cowl. Meguiars natural shine and some elbow grease, pleasant results. Won't be as long lasting as paint, but a nice improvement
