Default Mrocha85's 06 Lariat Addiction

So I'm finally getting around to starting my build thread. A little about my 06, I got her in December of 2012. She had 61K on the clock. Truck was in great shape and ran smooth no issues and still holds true to this day. I never thought this would turn into an addiction but it has and I've enjoyed it every step of the way. The truck is black leather in and oxford white out.

Here are a few shots around the time I first got her (wish I would have taken better and more photos).

One of the first things I did was switch out the 04-08 4x4 decals to the new 09+decals. I also had a custom white ford tailgate emblem made and had my tail lights tinted.

Originally I was going with white and chrome but after I had the tails tinted and put the new decals on that all changed.

From there I went on to de-chrome the truck. First few things I did was buy myself a white surround and black honeycomb grille and rid of that fx2 chrome grille. I had both my rear and front chrome bumpers painted.

Also had my those ugly black textured door handles sanded down and painted to match the truck. Much much cleaner look.

From there I put myself on some 2011 fx4 power folding mirrors with ptm caps. That was a challenge within its self to wire those up and get them to work with a factory switch. Was all worth it in the end and one of the best mods I've done to date!

Throw myself on some new 09+ badges and plastidipped them black. I plan on actually painting them soon. The chrome will be black and the black texture will be sanded smooth and painted white. If I can ever find a 2-piece tailgate emblem.

From there I went on to putting a 2.5 HBS leveling kit on with a 3" block in the rear. Along with some 20x9 matte black xd monsters +18 offset wrapped with some nitto trails 35x12.5x20 (Got a steal on these tires $1000 for all 4 and they only had 1500 miles on them).

Finally got rid of that ugly honeycomb grille and got myself a black carriage works billet grille.

Now here is where I am currently at.... Got a fx-r stage 3 retrofit kit for Christmas (thanks wifey), 5k bulbs/35w/apollo 2.0 shrouds/white xb led. On top of that she even got me the whole matchbox projector kit for my fogs! There are not currently on the truck as I am awaiting for them to be painted. Here is a pic to give you a general idea of what I'm going for.

These were a set of old lights that I painted. I'm having them professionally painted by mikegmang. I'll post pics when I get them painted and mounted on the truck.

Did a cheap mod and put some leds in my puddle lamps. Easiest mod to do and very cheap but made a huge difference.

Found myself a 4" rancho lift (oh so happy) on CL for a great price. Lift was in great shape but just wasn't feeling the red at all!

So I did this..... HELL YEA!!!

The lift had came with 9000xl shocks for the front and rear. One of the fronts ended up having a leak, so I bought some new ones. I plan on buying new ones for the rear soon. I am currently in the process of finishing up the install, should be complete by this weekend.

In the process still...almost done

Yes its dirty but will spotless when shes all done. Now seeing the lift actually on, I'm getting more powder coated. I can't do to much, have to do a little at a time. Currently the rear blocks, sway bar, brackets and caliper brackets are at the powder coater. I will have that back by Saturday and the lift should be complete by then. So look for more pics coming soon.

Many many more mods to come! Have a few things in the works right now so be on the lookout for more to come. Thanks for looking guys.

Mostly, the front is pretty much done. The back hasnt been touched. The front still need the tie rods backed out, brakes bleed and few other things torqued to specs.
