KsBowtech '13 FX4 Build
I wanted to wait to post a thread like this until I felt like I had made significant strides in getting the truck to where I wanted it. I get asked what I want it to look like when finished and the best response I have is two.
#1: Remember that bad ***** truck at the end of Tango and Cash??
#2: Something that could handle the Zombie Apocalypse...
I want it to be sick looking, but as functional as they come. It will be a daily driver of 60miles + for another 18 months or so while I finish residency. I can't say "thank you" enough to the posters on this site, I get answers daily for things that would take weeks without, or a crap ton of trial and error.
Day I bought it:
Before it left the lot 2.5" Level, Black Rhino Sidewinders 20x9, Nitto Terra Graps 305/55/20
New Steps:
LED Fogs, Flares, Removed FX4 and Ecoboost Badges, Black Side Mirror lens:
LED Tails and 3rd Tinted:
Waiting on Hood and Grill from Paint. Sucks driving around without a grill:
Hydro-dipped Grill:
RK Sport CF Hood:
Hydro-Dipped Grill, Painted Ford Badge:
Coming Soon:
Needs re-dipped and then Ecoboost sections painted.
I'll add pics of the Afe Stage II when my email starts working again.

Lol No, I'm guessing its one of the detail employees cars. I just noticed it. I did own a '93 TT Rx-7 for several years when I first graduated high school though. Did point me towards the ecoboost, just from the capabilities it has over the 5.0L or 6.2L
BMD: I love the flares. With that wide of a tire/rim combo it needed something. Not just for the look I wanted, but also to keep from slinging crap down the side of my truck every time I washed it. Its funny you mentioned the front vs rear. The rears were MUCH easier to install than the fronts. The test fit went perfect, but having them PTM, color sanded, and then buffed I had to trim both of the fronts where they tuck up under the body by the front doors. Not sure what happened, but they are perfect now.
I'm trying to do things in "stages", but like some of you guys know, life interferes from time to time. A 14 month old little boy might be a little spoiled and other things have popped up unexpectedly, but I plan on having it 'finished' by December. If a project can ever be finished, I dunno, but it will at least have my current mods list completed.
Very near future mods: Full Race CAC, Full Race Exhaust w/Downpipe, SCT Tuner from Franchi ( I promise I haven't forgotten Franchi), Heads custom painted w/halos & LEDs by RetroShop, Front Bumper Replaced (Soooo many options, still haven't decided), and a 4" Lift. Next mod will probably be end of august. Seems like at this point everything costs 1K$ or more.
