Default Silver 2006 FX4 Crewcab History

Just minutes after I handed over the hard earned money and filled it up for the first time. (I'm 6'4" so I kinda make it seem small)

This is my first "build" thread so here its from the start. I bought this truck 2-9-12 with 77,000 miles and a rebuilt title.

The truck was a lease vehicle had damage to the front end and was bought at auction by a Ford mechanic who repaired the damage. I have no pics of that. The frame horns were bent but cut out and others were welded up. pretty much the whole front body was replaced and repainted. The paint was a little off from the factory color but I didn't mind because Im not huge on showing off and I knew it would get plenty of scuffs and dents from offroading and using it as a tool.

Ford Mechanic eventually sold it to a co-worker and thats who I bought it from. I got to know about the truck really well and I did a lot of research on this forum and another mechanic that had a lot of experience working on the 5.4's and the issues of the 04-08 body style. In short, I concluded that the 2006 and up was my bet route to avoid the cam phaser issues or "running lean." This was my hard earned money so I asked many questions as to make a informed decision and be aware of none issues.

A few weeks after it bought it. Had to see how it handled off-road! Khumo Mojave Tires hooked up great on soft ground, even at half tread.

Cleaned up great after all that mud. I remember it took about $20 at the local power wash. Really glad I have my own pressure washer now; great investment)
